Design & Construction
Designed around an alustar hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.6m beam and a 10.8m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Twizzle features a low superstructure height, ensuring a sleek profile. It is finished in a striking Midnight Blue, enhanced with Awlgrip for a smooth and resilient surface. The superstructure is painted in a clean white, creating a sharp contrast with the hull. Below the waterline, the hull is colored black, adding a sleek and understated look. The boot top, a thin stripe along the waterline, is white, offering a crisp delineation between the hull and the water.
The tenders are stored under the deck, contributing to the clean lines of the vessel. The boarding ladder and passerelle are designed to function effectively in various conditions, and the beach deck offers easy access for swimming and tender arrivals.
The sunken aft cockpit eliminates the need for loose deck chairs, which could be problematic when the yacht is heeled over. Above this area, the main cockpit is protected by white voile curtains, providing shelter from wind and rain, complemented by ceiling heating for colder days.
The flybridge, equipped with removable carbon helm canopies, can withstand winds up to 40 knots. The hingeless stern platform folds out to form a bathing platform at various levels above the sea, depending on conditions. The internal bathing ladder retracts into its garage within the platform and is automatically washed with fresh water.
Lighting plays a significant role in the yacht's design, with 'up' and 'down' lighting on the masts and integrated underwater lights. The deck features a combination of cross-planking on the aft deck, flybridge, and interior, with wide fore and aft planking of teak, accented by pale grey caulking. This layout creates an uninterrupted visual flow, highlighted by small lights that resemble a continuous river of light.
High bulwarks, similar to those found on motor yachts, enhance safety on board. The handcrafted Rondal stanchion rails further emphasize the yacht's attention to detail.
Interior Design
The interior design of Twizzle focuses on functionality and understated elegance, utilizing a palette of pale colors and natural materials to create a welcoming environment. The primary materials include natural oak flooring, champagne marble, silks, cashmere, and white cotton. The overall decor is complemented by subtle accents of pale colors and textured fabrics, with occasional dashes of bright color to add variety.
The main deck offers an open-space layout, where exterior and interior areas blend seamlessly. This area features pale grey caulking and uninterrupted teak planking, highlighted by discreet lighting. The dining and relaxation spaces are designed to provide a sense of openness and continuous flow.
Twizzle is equipped with a state-of-the-art entertainment system integrated by Harris Grant, using Crestron and iTouch remotes in both sitting rooms. The interior bridge, strategically placed on a mezzanine deck, is separated from guest areas to maximize privacy. This configuration allows for a sitting room filled with natural light, offering views over the foredeck and out to sea.
Storage solutions throughout the yacht are designed to maximize space without compromising aesthetics. Cupboards double as window seats secured with hidden magnets, ensuring stability during sailing. The use of integrated storage maintains a clean and uncluttered appearance.
Accommodation
Twizzle accommodates up to eight guests in well-appointed cabins, each designed with meticulous attention to detail. The guest cabins are furnished with luxurious materials such as silks, cashmere, and textured fabrics, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The en-suite shower rooms are adorned with champagne marble, adding a touch of elegance to the private spaces.
The owner’s suite is a standout feature, designed to offer the ultimate in privacy and comfort. The suite includes a walk-in dressing room and a separate bathroom for her, while his area features a purpose-built shower room and an office. This suite also provides direct access to a sunken cockpit, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience. The area can be converted for use as a guest cabin and shower room if needed, offering flexibility for larger parties.
The captain's cabin is located in the guest area with a separate stairway leading directly to the deck bridge. Crew cabins are equipped with televisions, and the crew mess features a large communal table for meals and gatherings. The laundry and ironing room is strategically placed to ensure the crew member responsible for these tasks does not feel isolated. The galley is equipped with professional appliances to meet all the chef's needs, and ample storage space has been provided throughout.
