Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.23m beam and a 4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,730 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in May 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Following a deeply raked bow, the helipad commands attention, flanked by slight protrusions resembling wings to accommodate the circular landing area. Forward exterior space is functional, with guest areas predominantly located aft. The upper sun deck offers elevated views, featuring a large forward-facing pool surrounded by sun pads, while expansive seating in relaxed natural tones occupies the aft, complemented by occasional sun loungers.

The main deck forward windows slope backwards, ensuring excellent visibility ahead, while slim side balconies are integrated into the main deck sides beneath low elongated arched windows. A spacious beach club provides access to water activities and sports, boasting smart teak decking and stylish wood and cream furnishings that evoke a waterside vibe.

Interior Design

Quantum of Solace emphasizes functionality and comfort with a focus on high-quality materials and thoughtful details. The main salon on the main level features an array of wood details and ample seating arrangements, providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The space includes a pop-up TV and art pieces that add a touch of warmth and sophistication.

The lower level is equipped with a range of amenities. A massage room offers a serene environment with wood paneling and stacked stone accents, complemented by a small sink and seating area. Adjacent to this is a powder room with stone finishes, enhancing both aesthetics and practicality. A spacious walk-in shower features chrome fixtures and red mosaic tile details, while a steam room and Turkish bath provide additional relaxation options with their intricate mosaic details and backlit stone.

Moving to the upper deck, the interior transitions to a more open and airy layout. The dining setup, bar areas, and additional seating on each side of the deck are designed for both intimate gatherings and larger social events. The upper level's double-height ceilings create a sense of spaciousness, a rare feature in many mega yachts.

Accommodation

Quantum of Solace offers accommodation for up to 14 guests in 7 suites. The owner's suite, located on its dedicated deck, is notably expansive and features two private balconies. This suite includes an office with built-in desk setups and a full-size bathroom. The main bedroom area boasts a California king-size bed, leather and wood panel walls, a massive TV, and an L-shaped couch. The suite's en-suite bathroom is large, adorned with marble and light blue stone, and includes a walk-in shower, dual vanity setups with onyx sinks, and two sizable walk-in closets.

For additional guests, Quantum of Solace offers several guest cabins located on the main level. Each cabin is designed to provide comfort and privacy, ensuring a restful experience for all aboard.

Quantum of Solace also accommodates a professional crew of 19 members. The crew quarters are strategically connected via a long hallway, ensuring efficient and seamless service while maintaining privacy for guests.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516B) 2,446hp engines, motor yacht Quantum of Solace is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 204,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 7,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Wellness

Situated on the lower deck, nearly at sea level, the spa is complemented by a hinge-down platform on the starboard side. The layout includes a steam room, shower, spa pool, heads, and a treatment room on the port side, with a dedicated space for yoga at the center. The spa's ambiance follows an 'Asian' style, incorporating teak and limestone to create a warm and tranquil atmosphere. Finishes are enriched with dark woods, orange-veined onyx, and vibrant mosaics, contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal.
