Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 13.05m beam and a 4.01m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 2,008 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a touch and go heli-pad.
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in March 2018 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2018.
Exterior Design
Go bears a close resemblance to her yard mate Vicky, yet her design is leaner and more elegant. The curves in her superstructure flow seamlessly all the way to the waterline, creating an organic silhouette that is both modern and timeless.
The aesthetic appeal of Go is further enhanced by her striking hull color. Aptly named "Island Turquoise", this unique shade is not only eye-catching but also reflective of the yacht’s connection with the sea. This color theme is carried throughout the yacht, subtly linking its exterior and interior design elements.
One of the most noteworthy features of Go's exterior design is its aluminum superstructure, adorned with sculptural curves that cascade down through the deck levels and culminate in an arch that plunges to the waterline. This architectural detail provides a dynamic sense of movement, further emphasizing the yacht's sleekness and agility.
The yacht's exterior offers several well-appointed spaces for relaxation and entertainment. The 5-meter long sundeck spa pool, lined with turquoise and golden mosaic tile, is fed by a waterfall that cascades from a spout in the mast, creating a serene and luxurious outdoor space. The owner's private foredeck offers unparalleled panoramic views, making it the perfect spot for sunbathing or simply enjoying the sea breeze.
Interior Design
The opulent interiors of Go echo her exterior's elegance and embody the bold spirit of her owner. The creative minds at H2 Yacht Design have crafted a space that is both luxurious and deeply personal, reflecting the owner's style and preferences throughout.
The concept of moving water is beautifully woven into the yacht's design, with shades of turquoise resonating throughout, creating a fluid, soothing atmosphere. This theme is further enhanced by a distinctive chevron-meets-basket-weave pattern that can be found in a variety of intriguing locations, from the intricately carved carpet pile to the mirrored ceiling of the main saloon.
The main dining area is a showcase of the yacht's design themes. The chevron pattern is subtly incorporated into the flooring through stainless steel strips, contrasting sharply with the pure white Thassos stone. The round dining table is a work of art in itself, featuring turquoise enameled metal contrasting with polished macassar ebony and a central element in white onyx. The fixtures and fittings are no less impressive, with a chandelier that resembles short lengths of glass rope swaying gently in the breeze.
However, the pièce de résistance in Go's interior design is undoubtedly the three-story Dale Chihuly sculpture located at the center of the foyer staircase. Made up of nearly 500 pieces of blue-green blown glass, it resembles a gigantic, mesmerizing underwater creature. This artwork transforms an ordinary walk up the stairs into an unforgettable visual experience.
The yacht's beach club, accessible from the saloon, is another space that has received special attention from the owner. It opens up to a wide transom and a side shell door, creating a seamless blend between indoor and outdoor spaces. The club is equipped with an onyx and macassar backlit bar and a 100-inch flat-screen TV, catering to both water sports enthusiasts and those who prefer to relax with a drink and some entertainment.
Accommodation
Go can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests in its 9 luxurious cabins. Each cabin boasts a distinctive design and is equipped with all the amenities needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The cabins, which include a master suite, two VIP staterooms, four double cabins and two twin cabins, are all elegantly appointed and designed to ensure that guests have a tranquil private space to retreat to after a day of activities. Each room is furnished with lavish features such as high thread-count linens, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, and ensuite bathrooms with premium toiletries.
The master suite, in particular, is a standout feature of Go. This spacious suite features a centrally placed bed with stitched leather detailing designed to recall rugby balls, a tribute to the owner's love for the sport. The suite also boasts huge curved glass windows, offering a fabulous view over the owner's private foredeck and beyond. In front of the central window is a beautifully crafted cabinet hiding a large flat-screen TV, promising to keep the owner entertained, especially on game nights.
In addition to guest accommodation, Go has ample space to accommodate a crew of up to 20. The crew accommodation is designed with the same level of detail and luxury as the guest cabins, ensuring that the crew members enjoy a comfortable living environment while on board. This not only ensures a happy and motivated crew but also allows for a high level of service to be provided to guests.
Performance & Capabilities
At the heart of Go is a powerful engine that guarantees remarkable speed and range. The yacht is powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M73L engines, each boasting a power output of 2,880 kW. These engines ensure that Go is not just about luxury, but also about performance. With a cruising speed of 16 knots and a top speed of 20 knots, Go ensures swift and smooth sailing across the seas.
Go's mechanical prowess doesn't stop at its engines. The yacht is equipped with a modern stabilizer system, ensuring maximum comfort for all on board. The Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers significantly reduce the roll motion effect, providing a smoother and more enjoyable cruising experience. This state-of-the-art system works both at anchor and during navigation, ensuring stability and comfort regardless of the yacht's stationary or moving state.
The range of Go is another notable feature. With a fuel capacity of 230,000 liters, it can cover an impressive 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. This gives the yacht excellent long-distance cruising capabilities, allowing for extensive voyages without the need for frequent refueling stops.
A closer look at Go’s mechanical capabilities reveals a dazzling array of technical specifications that highlight the yacht’s performance and reliability. With a gross tonnage of 1,558 GT and a displacement of 1,070 tons, Go is designed to be a sturdy and dependable vessel, ready to take on the open seas with confidence.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. For the ultimate relaxation experience, the yacht plays host to a luxury spa and steam room. In addition, a generous beach club offers direct access to the ocean. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. Go also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
