Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.2m beam and a 3.5m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,426 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2008. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in July 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2011.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Seanna is characterized by its flared raked bow and white superstructure and hull. The yacht features cascading aft decks that create a tiered appearance, offering multiple levels for outdoor activities and relaxation.
The stern includes a bathing platform and a beach club, which are located aft of the gym and tender garage.
On the topmost deck, Seanna includes both a sundeck and a raised observation deck. The sundeck is designed for sunbathing with six loungers and a pool overlooking a bar and seating area. Forward of this area, the observation deck offers a glass-enclosed space, suitable for leisure activities such as reading.
The bridge deck features large, protected open-air spaces that can accommodate a range of activities, from quiet conversations to full-scale dining. The aft bridge deck's table is large enough to seat all guests comfortably.
Interior Design
The design was executed by Redman Whiteley Dixon (RWD) with decor by Susan Young of Seattle. The materials used throughout the yacht include deep walnut cabinetry, pale grey chairs, deep charcoal velvet sofas, and dark walnut joinery. These materials establish a consistent color palette that is chic and relaxed.
The main deck features an optimized cinema room at the aft, designed for privacy and comfort. The room includes a custom C-shaped centerline sofa, additional outboard sofas, and a 100-inch movie screen with a projector. Curtains, lights, projector, and audio controls are all accessible via an iPad.
Forward of the cinema, a library with a fireplace and dark marble surround occupies the port side. The space is designed with deep walnut cabinetry that disguises engine air trunks, creating a cozy seating area under a picture window. The library is defined by pale grey chairs, a deep charcoal velvet sofa, and dark walnut joinery.
Opposite the library, a wide hallway with a circular table serves as the indoor dining area when the table is expanded to an oval shape. The dining area seats 10 and is illuminated by a custom-made chandelier of glass and linked nickel ovals. The hallway leads to a spacious entrance hall featuring a sweeping central staircase with a balustrade of linked nickel ovals. The staircase area is designed to admit plenty of light, with sections of aluminum removed and walls upholstered in horizontal bands of Edelman leather.
The main deck also includes a private sitting room or office to port and a mini-spa to starboard, featuring two separate massage rooms for couples' massages. The spa area is designed with large windows to enhance the experience.
The bridge deck is the hub for family living. It features a multifunctional saloon with a backlit glass bar, a games area, and two seating areas set at 90-degree angles. The saloon opens onto a covered aft deck, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. The saloon is furnished with area rugs and loose furniture chosen by Susan Young, who also commissioned the yacht's artwork.
Seanna also includes a raised observation deck, designed with teak strips for a cabana-like feel. This space serves as a cozy retreat, ideal for reading or relaxation.
Accommodation
The motor yacht Seanna can accommodate up to 12 guests in seven well-appointed cabins. The accommodation layout includes a spacious master suite, a VIP suite, and five additional guest cabins.
The master suite, located on the main deck, is a highlight of Seanna's accommodation. This suite is designed to maximize space and privacy. It features a private sitting room or office to port and a massage room to starboard. The suite includes his-and-hers bath, shower, and dressing rooms, offering a luxurious retreat for the owners. The design features curved architectural corners to introduce softness and maintain a cozy atmosphere.
Located on the bridge deck, the VIP suite offers a spacious and comfortable living area for guests. This suite ensures that VIP guests enjoy a high level of comfort and privacy, with easy access to the multi-functional saloon and outdoor spaces.
Seanna can carry up to 17 crew onboard and this includes well-planned traffic patterns and ample storage spaces to facilitate service and maintenance. The bridge deck features a service pantry with a food lift and direct access from the galley, ensuring that the watch crew is well-fed during passages. The ship's office and the captain's cabin are also located on the bridge deck, providing a functional and organized space for the crew.
