Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.35m beam and a 2.65m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2014. This was the first yacht built on the 52Steel design. Launched in January 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Sanlorenzo's La Spezia yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in April 2017.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Seven Sins by Sanlorenzo is defined by its striking black windows, which are a notable feature against the yacht's sleek profile. The expansive main and upper deck windows, paired with glass side deck bulwarks, provide unobstructed views of the surrounding seascape, enhancing the connection between guests and the water.
The yacht's beach club is a standout innovation, featuring a float-in tender garage that doubles as a leisure area. Upon filling the tender bay with water and opening the transom, the tender can be easily launched. The beach club experience is further enriched by terraces that unfold on both sides and a teak-soled overhead section that lowers to complete the setting. The glass bottom of the pool located above allows sunlight to filter through, creating a captivating ambiance below.
Attention to detail is evident in the aft deck swimming pool, which boasts a glass panel at its rear as well as beneath it. This design choice, alongside integrated lighting, elevates the pool to a visual highlight at night. The pool's counter-current feature and Jacuzzi section cater to both fitness enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation.
The sundeck is thoughtfully appointed with furnishings from Paola Lenti and offers a range of amenities including sunloungers, comfortable seating, a dining table for 12, and a bar surfaced with silver-flecked granite that catches the light. The foredeck complements the sundeck by offering additional exterior space with coffee tables and sofas, enhancing the overall sense of spaciousness on board.
Interior Design
The interior design of the yacht Seven Sins, crafted by Officina Italiana Design, embodies a contemporary aesthetic, characterized by a color palette comprised of white, beige, taupe, and brown hues. This selection of colors facilitates a versatile ambiance that can shift from a cozy to a breezy atmosphere, accommodating the diverse preferences of guests.
Materials employed throughout the vessel include a liberal use of glass, enhancing the sense of openness and connection with the marine environment. Reflective surfaces, such as mirrored elements, are strategically placed to amplify the natural light that floods in through the expansive windows. High gloss white finishes on the ceilings contribute to the brightness of the interior spaces, while the use of pale marble, particularly in the coffee tables and the staircase with its floating treads, adds a touch of sophistication.
A key feature of the vessel's interior is the innovative use of technology, as seen in the bronze mirror televisions that blend with the surroundings when not in use. The main saloon is notable for its substantial windows and glass bulwarks, which are complemented by an aft entrance lobby and bar. This area transitions into two distinct seating zones: one formal, accented with pale marble coffee tables, and another casual, positioned in front of a cinema screen that doubles as a mirror.
The yacht's interior dining space is situated in the upper saloon, which also includes additional seating areas designed for relaxation and socializing, particularly suitable for pre-dinner gatherings. The practical arrangement of living spaces acknowledges the preference for outdoor dining experiences, positioning the cinema in a more secluded area within the yacht.
The decision to prioritize crew efficiency is evident in the smart layout of service areas. The lower deck mess and cabins are directly connected to the galley on the deck above via an adjacent pantry, with a second pantry placed to serve the upper deck dining area. A dumbwaiter links these service points with the sundeck, ensuring smooth operation and delivery of amenities.
Accommodation
Seven Sins has the capacity to host up to twelve passengers within six guest cabins, including a dedicated owner's suite, ensuring ample space for all on board.
The owner's suite, situated forward of the main saloon, includes additional wardrobe space as requested by the owner, demonstrating an understanding of the needs of those who prioritize extended stays at sea. An accompanying office space opens onto the cabin, fitted with a sofa and a vanity, creating a multifunctional area for work or relaxation. The suite's ensuite facilities are expansive, featuring a generous bath and continuing the theme of warm brown tones and crisp white finishes, contributing to a sense of spaciousness.
Four additional guest cabins are located on the lower deck, configured as two double and two twin cabins. Each cabin boasts its own ensuite, ensuring privacy and convenience for guests. The interiors of these cabins are decorated with a harmonious blend of warm tobacco brown leathers and cool white accents, alongside the innovative bronze mirror televisions, adding a touch of modernity and sophistication to the living spaces.
The crew quarters for up to 11 include a lower deck mess and cabins, which are connected to the main galley located on the deck above, as well as an adjacent pantry.
The captain's cabin and wheelhouse, though reduced in size due to the inclusion of a sixth guest cabin, are equipped with essential Furuno navigation equipment and feature a minimalist design. This sixth cabin, which can serve as an additional guest room or as the captain's quarters depending on charter needs, exemplifies the yacht's versatile approach to accommodation planning.
