Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.7m beam and a 2.2m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 125 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Sol Shine's teak decking is well-maintained, adding a touch of elegance while ensuring durability against the elements. The flybridge offers an upper helm station with similar controls and a clear view of the yacht's surroundings. This area also includes a bar with a grill, ice maker, and fridge, as well as a dining area that features durable materials that mimic the appearance of wood, ensuring longevity without compromising on appearance. The flybridge is partially shaded, providing a comfortable space for relaxation.
The deck layout allows for straightforward navigation around the yacht. The bow area includes anchor handling winches and stainless steel plating, offering robust support for anchor operations. Sunbathing spaces are available on the bow, and the upholstery is kept in excellent condition by storing it away when not in use.
Sol Shine's side decks are equipped with docking winches and ample storage for canopies and other gear. The passerelle extends from the stern, facilitating easy boarding when docked. A tender garage is located at the stern, providing storage for toys and equipment, though currently used for a 42-foot chase boat.
Interior Design
The interior design of Sol Shine is functional and contemporary, characterized by the use of high-quality materials and efficient layout. The main salon features oak finishes with a matte texture, creating a sleek and modern ambiance. This area is equipped with a hi-lo TV and offers ample natural light through large windows, which can be opened to enhance airflow. The dining area, adjacent to the salon, is designed for both comfort and practicality. The oak finish extends throughout, providing a cohesive look.
The galley is organized for optimal use of space, fitted with modern appliances, including a serious coffee machine and ample refrigeration. It allows direct access to the crew quarters, ensuring that the service areas remain separate from guest areas, enhancing privacy and efficiency. The galley also houses an automatic bin and a compact dining space for the crew, ensuring all necessary facilities are close at hand.
The helm station on the bridge is equipped with recently upgraded Garmin screens and comprehensive navigation and control systems, including bow and stern thrusters. The station provides excellent visibility and is designed for ease of use, with controls positioned for quick access. Additional helm stations are located throughout the yacht, including a portable DockMate remote control, ensuring flexibility and control from various points on the vessel.
Accommodation
Sol Shine features a main deck owner's cabin, providing the owner with a spacious living area. This cabin includes a large walk-in wardrobe with a window, offering ample storage space. Additionally, there is a well-appointed ensuite with illuminated rainfall shower facilities, enhancing the comfort of the primary living quarters.
On the lower deck, Sol Shine accommodates guests across four cabins, each equipped with large hull windows to allow natural light. These cabins come with AV equipment, storage options, and ensuite facilities complete with rainfall showers. The layout ensures privacy and comfort for guests during their stay.
For the crew, the yacht is organized to optimize functionality and space. The crew quarters feature accommodation for four, with the potential to host up to five crew members. This includes twin cabins and a captain's cabin, the latter offering an ensuite with a separate shower.
