Talitha is an award winning 82.6m classic yacht delivered by German shipyard Krupp Germaniawerft in 1929. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Bannenberg & Rowell, while Cox & Stevens is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and superstructure she features a 10.36m beam and a 3.9m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,103 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 1929. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in June 1930 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in October 1930.
Exterior Design
Talitha, with her 82.6 meters overall length inclusive of her bowsprit, stands as a testament to the splendor of the 1920s. Her exterior design is the product of a refined and elegant era, combining both modernity and timeless classic appeal. Her long overhangs, sleek lines, and a 10.37-meter beam hark back to the golden age of shipbuilding, yet her structure and functionality are of a modern yacht.
Talitha's exterior also features a well-sheltered deck with an enviable sunbathing area fitted within the stern's fantail. The boat deck saloon opens through wide doors to a delightful outdoor space with a superb dining table, a spa surrounded by sunbathing cushions, and teak sun loungers. Outside the deck, there are bays for the yacht's classic Hackercraft and Chris Craft tenders.
Talitha features a clipper bow design that is both functional and visually striking. The deck is crafted from high-quality teak, providing durability and a classic aesthetic. The hull and superstructure are painted in a clean, crisp white, contributing to a cohesive and elegant appearance. The boot top and the area below the waterline are finished in a contrasting black, adding a touch of sophistication to the vessel’s overall look
Interior Design
Materials used throughout the yacht include rich myrtle, mahogany, and oak veneers, highlighted with ebony surrounds and inlays. Deckheads and panelled walls are predominantly painted white, which offers a clean and bright contrast to the darker tones of the doors and built-in furniture. The bathrooms feature luxurious marble, sourced from Italian suppliers and installed by the Bristol Marble Company, adding a touch of refined elegance to the spaces.
The main saloon is a central feature of the interior, providing a comfortable and inviting area for relaxation and socializing. It is furnished with an eclectic mix of pieces, many of which are custom-built and draw heavily on the designs of Edwin Lutyens. The saloon also maintains period-specific touches, such as the gas-fired equivalents of the original coal-burning grates, ensuring safety while preserving historical ambiance.
The library, situated amidships on the main deck, serves as a quiet retreat for reading and contemplation. The dining saloon, located in the fore part of the superstructure, offers a traditional setting for meals, with furniture designs that reflect the beginnings of the art deco movement.
Daylight pours into the boat deck saloon and card room through oval-headed bronze skylights, salvaged from a London bank, which adds a charming ambiance to these areas. This blend of period character and modern amenities ensures that Talitha's interior spaces are both functional and true to their historical roots.
Accommodation
Talitha offers accommodation for up to 12 guests across six well-appointed cabins. The yacht features a full-beam master suite, providing ample space and comfort for the owner. This master suite is complemented by two double cabins and three twin cabins, all situated on the lower deck, positioned abaft the centrally located engine room.
The master suite boasts a spacious layout with intricate detailing, including wall coverings developed from original cotton sample books printed in Manchester in 1912. The suite's bathroom is furnished with high-quality marble provided by Italian suppliers and installed by the Bristol Marble Company, ensuring a sophisticated and elegant finish.
Each guest cabin continues the theme of understated luxury and period charm, combining rich materials like myrtle, mahogany, and oak veneers with modern comforts. The cabins are designed to reflect the decorative styles of the early 20th century, offering a unique blend of historical ambiance and contemporary convenience.
She is also capable of carrying up to 18 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. Crew accommodation is thoughtfully designed and spans the forward portion of the lower deck, as well as a sub-deck beneath it.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516 TA) 16-cylinder 1,428hp engines running at 1200rpm, motor yacht Talitha is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 138,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,670 nautical miles.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Talitha also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
