Delivered in 2019, Tonic Blue is a 28.95m motor yacht built by Italian shipyard Benetti. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Giorgio Cassetta, while Achille Salvagni has designed her interiors.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement GRP hull and a carbon fibre superstructure she features a 7m beam and a 2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 199 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2018. This was the seventh yacht built on the Delfino 95 design. Launched in June 2019 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in July 2019.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Tonic Blue showcases simplicity and elegance through its color scheme and materials. The yacht features a striking blue hull with a red bootstripe, creating a clean and original appearance. The alternating use of white, blue, and red colors, along with materials like teak, establishes a connection to classic sailing yachts.

One of her standout features, is a jacuzzi on the foredeck that is mosaic-tiled and provides panoramic views. Other outdoor amenities include al-fresco dining on the sundeck and in the cockpit, along with plenty of opportunities for sunbathing.

Interior Design

The Main Deck onboard Tonic Blue features a living area where blue and white colors dominate, creating a clean, nautical aesthetic. The flooring here is a combination of carpet and teak with Wengè inserts, offering a subtle contrast. The open bookcases, requested by the owner, add a personal touch to the space. Sofas and chairs are upholstered in fine fabrics, complemented by wall inserts from Loro Piana, reinforcing the understated elegance.

In the lounges and salons, attention to detail is evident in the decorative lamps, which mirror those found in the cabins. A rectangular table seating eight is a focal point, designed for dining and social gatherings. 

Accommodation

Tonic Blue offers well-appointed accommodations designed to comfortably host up to 10 guests in 5 suites located on the Main and Lower Decks.

The Main Deck features the owner’s cabin, offering a fully carpeted suite with his and hers bathrooms. These bathrooms are separated by a spacious shower area and are finished with light-colored teak wood and Taj Mahal marble floors, providing a serene private retreat.

Guest accommodations are situated on the Lower Deck, consisting of two VIP cabins and two Twin cabins. The VIP cabins include bespoke elements such as open bookcases, while all guest cabins incorporate light-colored carpeting with teak and leather inserts in shades of blue and cream. The bathrooms in these cabins are designed with teak flooring and Taj Mahal marble shower trays, maintaining a consistent aesthetic throughout the yacht.

For the crew of five, Tonic Blue offers two crew cabins and a captain’s cabin on the Lower Deck. 

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MAN (V8 1000) 8-cylinder 1,000hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Tonic Blue is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 20,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,950 nautical miles at 10 knots.
