Columbus unveil new Atlantique Line

The new line will be made up of three yachts, the first of which is the Atlantique 43 with its distinctive stern area that sits just 50cm above the water.

Columbus Yachts has unveiled its new Atlantique line of yachts, a series of three yachts that the shipyard claim is dedicated to ‘elegance and versatility.

Leading the roll-out of the new series is the Atlantique 43, notable for its distinctive “sailboat-style” stern that sits just 50cm above the water and features a large panoramic swimming pool.

Columbus has worked with Hot Lab on both the interior and exterior design and there is a focus on combining style, design and functionality along with a seamless transition between the large outdoor areas and generous interior spaces.

This is exemplified by an outdoor dining area that can accommodate up to 12 people, but which benefits from closable ‘windbreak’ windows to provide a degree of protection if needed. The main saloon too has two large sliding windows that can be opened to enhance the connection with the outside spaces.

The Atlantique 43 has a versatile five-cabin plus sun deck or six-cabin layout. In the six-cabin layout the upper deck is largely the reserve of the Owner, who can benefit from a completely private aft terrace as well as floor-to-ceiling windows with 180° views. The lower deck hosts the five guest cabins made up of two VIP cabins, 2 twin cabins and a full-beam VIP suite. In the five-cabin version, the Owner’s cabin can be found on the main deck with four large cabins all below deck.

A second swimming pool can be found on the upper deck forward and there is space for two tenders, one in a 5.5m (18ft) tender garage and the second can be housed on the main deck forward.

The Atlantique 43 also makes use of a number of eco-friendly solutions including solar panels, water purifiers and a low fuel consumption propulsion system.

The Atlantique line will be completed by the Atlantique 37 and Atlantique 55.
