Extra Yachts reveal first ever catamaran with the Extra VILLA X30

Extra Yachts has announced its first-ever catamaran in the shape of this smart VILLA X30.

Featuring extensive design input from Dutch firm Phathom on the interiors and exteriors, the VILLA X30 is a home away from home with a multi-level open plan layout that aims to provide "a new definition of enjoyment on the water".

There is a growing trend for mono-hull builders to add a catamaran to their ranks with the likes of Sanlorenzo and Wider announcing multihull firsts.

This Extra boasts hybrid propulsion and glass-impregnated solar cells. In addition to the reduction of emissions and other eco-friendly inclusions like the dominant use of re-purposed fibres, the overall appeal and function of the VILLA X30 is to bring Owners and their guests into close contact with the elements.

Extensive panoramic windows around the main salon allow advantageous viewpoints at every angle, with exterior living spaces enhancing this focal point further.

The beach club is certainly a key feature to shout about, with the multifunctional high/low platform acting not only as a storage facility for a 5m+ tender, but also as an extension to bring both hulls together as one large environment to entertain guests and provide direct access from VIP cabins to the beach club without having to navigate through the interiors.

And if that wasn't enough to whet the appetite for the exteriors, Extra Yachts have also incorporated multiple social areas and an infinity pool.

Admirably showcasing abundant opportunities for guests to move around freely with large open-plan spaces and of course easy access to the sea, there are still fundamentals for creating privacy for those staying onboard.

The first feature worth a mention is the trio of options for the galley. Included as either part of the main open-plan design, a lower deck galley or a separate main deck kitchen, Owner's can keep the guests away from crew in the kitchen and further enhance the onboard appeal of relaxation.

Balustrades provide shelter for guests wanting to spend longer around the exteriors and the Owner also has a separate oasis.

Containing a lounge area, a SPA bathroom on a lower level and a berth with advantageous views, the real deal-maker here is the private terrace. Not something unheard of for indulgent yachts for sale, but in this instance, the terrace doesn't only fold down when required by the Owner, but it can also be lowered in calm waters to boast outstanding connectivity to the elements while maintaining high levels of privacy.
