Debuts include Azimut’s brand new Magellano 25 Metri and Benetti’s hotly-anticipated Oasis 40M.
Running between October 1 - 6, the Genoa Boat Show is the first major yachting event to go ahead since the beginning of the Coronavirus crisis. It signals a positive move for the Italian yachting sector, with a strong presence from Italian yards including Ferretti Group, Fincantieri and Sanlorenzo.
The show will be sticking with its historically popular ‘4 Boat Shows in 1’ format, which sees the huge 200,000 square metre show area divided into 4 sections to help show-goers find what they’re looking for.
Now celebrating its 60th edition, the show is a great opportunity for those in the market to buy a new or pre-owned yacht to browse a wide variety of models all in one place.
If you’re thinking about attending the show, here’s the YachtBuyer edit of the best models to see.
Oasis 40m (Debut)
The design of the Oasis 40M centres around an elongated aft deck with a dip pool and lounge area.
The undisputed star of the show is also the largest, newest and the most last-minute entry to the line-up; Benetti’s Oasis 40M.
This 41m (143’) model features attention-grabbing exteriors from the drawing boards of Kozerski Architecture and the design centres around an elongated aft deck with a dip pool and lounge area. This unique feature is sure to grab plenty of attention on the docks.
The first hull, named Rebeca, will be in attendance at the yachting event. While this is her official public debut, she is making her way from Portofino where she was on display at a private event hosted by Benetti.
Magellano 25 Metri (Debut)
Explorer styling coupled with refreshingly refined interiors set the Magellano 25 Metri apart from the rest.
The YachtBuyer team had the pleasure of seeing this yacht in person ahead of her official unveiling in Genoa. Explorer styling coupled with refreshingly refined interiors set the Magellano 25 Metri apart from the rest, and Azimut is expected to bring a selection of other models to the event as well, including a number of new yachts for sale.
The first hull of the Magellano 25 Metri model range is called JAKAT. The 25m (83’) yacht features exteriors by Ken Freivokh and interiors by Vincenzo de Cotiis, and the two areas are connected by sharp blues and elegant wood tones.
Majesty 100
A highly successful platform, this model boasts an innovative layout that places a large lounge on the foredeck and a superb swim platform with hydraulic steps.
UAE-based shipyard Gulf Craft will be presenting the ninth Majesty 100 model. A highly successful platform, this 32m (104’) motor yacht boasts an innovative layout that places a large lounge on the foredeck and a superb swim platform with hydraulic steps.
This hull, named ISLA, has been commissioned by a first-time buyer and long-term charterer. ISLA was delivered earlier this year and swiftly joined the Mediterranean charter fleet.
SL102 Asymmetric
The Genoa Boat Show will be sticking with its historically popular ‘4 Boat Shows in 1’ format, which sees the huge 200,000 square metre show area divided into 4 sections to help show-goers find what they’re looking for.
Sanlorenzo will be presenting a large fleet of yachts at the show, including the SL102 Asymmetric. With the first unit launched just last year, this model is a reasonably new addition to the Sanlorenzo fleet.
The Asymmetric range is characterized by a unique design that aims to maximise internal space by removing one external deck to produce more volume on the interior.
Joining this model, there will also be appearances from the SL106 and the SD126.
The star of the show is expected to be the Oasis 40M. If you’re interested in finding viewing this model specifically, you can learn more about buying a Benetti Oasis 40M.
