Horizon Yachts has launched a new Horizon FD80 named yacht AMETHYST, marking the first model in the FD Series to feature a fishing cockpit. Designed for dedicated anglers, this yacht combines comfort with adventure, offering a unique blend of luxury and functionality.
Externally, the new yacht showcases her sportfishing prowess with uniquely fitted outriggers and a thoughtfully designed fishing cockpit. This area is equipped with a Reelax Game Fighting Chair, a teppanyaki grill, and a Garmin Helm, making it the ultimate angling haven. A one-meter bait well, tuna tubes, and a discreet ice box with an Eskimo Ice machine complete the setup, ensuring all fishing needs are met.
The main deck's open-plan design highlights a cohesive aesthetic, with Michelangelo quartzite surfaces and water-bleached walnut tones. A custom dining table with an amethyst anchor motif and a bespoke coffee table in the salon adds personality to the space. The upper deck's enclosed skylounge and pilothouse provide versatile spaces for relaxation and social gatherings, featuring a wet bar, and a Jacuzzi.
Inside, the day fishing yacht offers a four-stateroom-plus-crew layout. The master stateroom, spanning the full beam of the main deck, features a backlit headboard and an Affresco art feature wall that reflects the subtle amethyst hues found throughout the yacht. Below the deck, three VIP staterooms — aptly named Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald — offer personalized areas, each reflecting its namesake through distinct color palettes and expansive windows.
Powered by twin MTU engines outputting 1,600hp, the motor yacht can achieve a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots.
