Monaco Yacht Show makes confident changes for 2021

Monaco Yacht Show has announced a redesign and new thinking for this popular superyacht event, with a focus on to the 'final superyacht client'.

Designed to deliver a workable, successful show for both exhibitors and visitors, in what may still be a highly challenging environment, MYS 2021 will look to attract 'the right people' with 'a bespoke experience of unparalleled prestige'.

Maintaining its location at the iconic Port Hercule, managing director Gaëlle Tallarida revealed the new plans for the show during a virtual press conference, clarifying that a steering committee had played an advisory role in the decision-making.

New attractions are scheduled to make an appearance in 2021, including an innovations and trends section, with other show areas renamed to enhance the experience for visitors.

Known for showcasing some of the most impressive yachts for sale, the focus, rightly, looks to be about a true VIP experience that gets people onto yachts and stands.

Stating there had been feedback of the show being 'too busy', Tallarida declared steps were being taken to make sure they had the 'right people at the show', starting a ticket price hike and two new exclusive VIP entrances close to the Yacht Club de Monaco.

Aside from the newfound appeal of the famous yachting event, the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show will also feature the inaugural appearance of a badge system.

The badge system features three different levels that will be allocated to visitors when they register for the show. These will be labelled as Discover for yacht clients, Advise for consultants and advisory personnel plus Connect for trade visitors. The badge system is set in place to make sure visitors get to access the most appropriate areas of the show for the purpose of their visit.

Visitors with a Discover badge will have an exclusive day, Wednesday 22nd September, with private and more relaxed access to the yachts and luxury tenders, with other badge holders able to board throughout the remaining show days.

Scheduled to take place from 22-25 September 2021, get involved with the all-new Monaco Yacht Show by taking a look at some of the models which could appear at the show by viewing all yachts for sale.
