Riva has revealed the latest addition to its fleet, the 56’ Rivale Hard Top, which introduces a fixed hard top to provide shade in warm climates.
The new model is part of an evolution of Riva’s Open range, which started with the introduction of the Dolceriva Hard Top last month. It builds on the popularity of the open 56’ Rivale, with the new hard top covering the entire center section of the yacht to provide shelter from the heat and the weather.
The design also features steel handles on either side that act as handrails and optional air conditioning built into the structure. Awnings can also be added to cover the cockpit and forward lounge to create a single covered area running the entire length of the boat, from bow to stern.
The 17m (56ft) yacht is recognizable by its distinctive Riva Shark Grey hull and innovative swim platform which, when submerged in water, reveals steps set in the hull that can be used as a stairway to enter the water without a need for a steel ladder.
Elsewhere there are numerous relaxation areas, including a large sunpad in the aft section of the cockpit, an L-shaped sofa in the deck lounge and a bow area sunpad with a reclining headrest.
Inside a stylish lounge dinette is flooded with natural light thanks to a glass skylight and large windows. The three-cabin layout is made up of a master stateroom on the starboard side, a VIP cabin forward and a double cabin with bunk beds. Twin 1200hp MAN engines give a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 34 knots.
The new model is one of three the Italian builder has introduced in recent weeks that make use of hard tops. The Dolceriva Sports Hard Top was unveiled in the middle of June and the new 68’ Diable just a fortnight before. Each model delivers the iconic Italian styling and quality construction Riva has become known for. To find out more view all Riva yachts for sale.
