Ocean Alexander 32L sells without Owner stepping onboard

The sale of the first hull of the Taiwanese shipyard’s 32L series was carried out completely online, with the 33m (109ft) yacht now en-route to her new Owner.

Ocean Alexander has sold the first hull of its 32L series, without the new Owner even stepping foot on the boat.

The shipyard used a series of digital tools to provide the client with access to the boat and the commissioning team to help him shape the 33m (109ft) semi-custom yacht. The new Owner was already familiar with the Taiwanese shipyard, having previously owned an Ocean Alexander 85.

The 32L replaces the successful Ocean Alexander 100, which sold almost 20 hulls across her six-year history. It retains some of the traditional appeal of the 100 but makes the most of its extra 1.5m (5ft) length with a roomier look and feel.

She features a main deck master suite and four guest cabins made up of two VIP cabins and two twins. The main salon and dining area benefit from panoramic views thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and there is also a notable increase of space in the galley and crew area.

The shipyard has once again worked with regular collaborator Evan K. Marshall on her styling and interior design.

The 32L is currently en-route to the Owner, ready for them to enjoy spring and summer cruising.

With the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in the cancellation of the majority of boat shows over the past 12 months, numerous shipyards have taken to offering virtual tours and online showcases of their yachts. Last month Azimut opened its own A-Room platform, dedicated to giving visitors an exclusive and totally interactive preview of its new models.
