Palumbo launch first 28m Extra 93

Scheduled to appear alongside the EXTRA 86 and EXTRA 86 FAST at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September, Palumbo Yachts have announced the successful launch of the first hull of the EXTRA 93.

Measuring up at 28.3 metres, the new vessel is a follow up to the previous launches of the entry level EXTRA 76 and EXTRA 86 models.

Powered by three Volvo Penta IPS engines, producing 1,000 HP each, the EXTRA 93 can reach admirable top speeds of 18.5 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 15 knots.

Constructed with a carbon composite hull and superstructure, the vessel boasts a shallow draft which allows owners and their guests to explore areas some larger yachts cannot reach. Shallow rivers and coastlines around the Bahamas are ideal destinations to try out the draft, while having all the luxuries usually associated with some larger vessels.

Exterior and interior designs have been created by renowned designer Francesco Guida, where effortless style is minimalist, modern and timeless.

Exterior living boasts a selection of options for guests to make the most of the great outdoors while onboard. Seating arrangements are found on the aft main deck and foredeck, while further seating, drinks tables and an al fresco dining option for 12 guests are all located on the upper deck.

Interior living spaces are just as relaxing as the al fresco alternatives onboard with an abundantly lit main saloon and interior dining option. According to Palumbo, the extensive windows are designed to create a feeling of being inside a large crystal dome.

In addition to the roomy interior living areas on the main deck, the lower deck is just as spacious with four luxurious cabins, in addition to the full beam master suite on the main deck. Adorned with tinted windows for privacy, the overnight accommodation can cater for up to 10 guests at any one time.

The standard layout of the lower deck features a pair of VIP staterooms and two single cabins, all of which have their own private ensuite facilities.
