Created in collaboration with Classic Boat Magazine, the zone offers visitors an alternative angle to the yachting lifestyle, looking at the core fundamentals of boating, plus a display of classic-style boats.
Scheduled to open its doors from 15-24 September 2023, the Southampton International Boat Show (SIBS) is the biggest boating event in the UK and takes place at the iconic Mayflower Park.
Hosted in its own exclusive area of the marina among the motor yachts from some of the world's most esteemed shipyards, the Classic and Dayboat Zone presents an insight into the past as well as plenty of options for owners to extend their collections of boats and nautical merchandise.
With highly varnished wooden decks, shiny sleek hulls, coloured sails on gaff rigs, and traditional brass fittings, classic boats are always a much-loved feature at a boat show.

Presenting a seamless connection between the traditions of boating and innovative nods to the future, the dedicated exhibit features a display of classic wooden boats and boats suitable for trailers, both of which showcase examples of exquisite craftsmanship and heritage.
In addition to the display of boats, the zone will keep visitors engaged with demonstrations of the skills behind boatbuilding, and hands-on sessions with tutorials on knot tying.
