The 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival opens this week, featuring the global debut of two remarkable superyachts. Among the nearly 20 yachts available for sale that are over 40m, two will be introduced to the world for the first time. Columbus Yachts will present the Atlantique 43M, while Baglietto will showcase ASTERA, the fifth yacht in their DOM133 series.
The 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival will showcase an impressive lineup of boats, yachts, and superyachts this September. Yacht buyers attending to view superyachts for sale will have the opportunity to see 54 yachts in the 25m to 30m range, and 47 superyachts between 30m and 40m. The largest yachts at the show are 40m and above, with 19 scheduled to appear.
Baglietto's motor yacht ASTERA, is the fifth hull of their successful DOM 133 line, designed by Stefano Vafiadis. The yacht features a unique two-level beach club with an infinity pool, which includes a lifting bottom that extends the already spacious main deck cockpit.
This aluminum displacement yacht is powered by two Caterpillar C32 1.193 kW (1.622 HP) engines delivering an impressive maximum speed of 17 knots.
The superyacht is in the 40m-45m size category at the boat show, with a length overall (LOA) of 40.6m. The yacht accommodates 11 guests (sleeping) in five cabins
Columbus Yachts presents the Atlantique 43 at the Cannes Yachting Festival, showcasing it at the Jetée location. With a length of 43.6m, motor yacht FRETTE which launched in July 2024, is the second in the Atlantique 43 series. Both the exterior and interior were crafted by Milan-based studio Hot Lab. A standout feature of FRETTE is its sailing yacht-style stern, which includes a five-meter-long central swimming pool positioned just half a meter above sea level. The superyacht also features side wings that lower to significantly extend the waterside area.
