Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.02m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 462 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the second yacht built on the Atlantique 43 MT design. Launched in June 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2024.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Frette draws inspiration from the natural shapes and fluidity found in the marine environment. The yacht's silhouette resembles the form of a shell, featuring smooth contours without sharp edges or abrupt changes in angle. This design choice results in a cohesive and visually striking profile that merges the aesthetic appeal of a traditional motor yacht with the sleek lines of a classic sailing hull. The resemblance to a sailing yacht's fluid lines gives Frette a distinct elegance that stands out in the motor yacht category.
Frette's "sailing-type" stern design is one of its most notable features. Anchored by a central swimming pool, the area includes an aft-facing C-shaped seating arrangement, positioned exceptionally close to the waterline, just 50cm above the sea surface. This is achieved by integrating the stern more deeply into the yacht's structure. Two fold-out side wings enhance the feeling of direct engagement with the surrounding waters, blurring the line between the yacht and the sea.
On the practical side, Frette accommodates storage for a 5.5m tender at the stern within a dedicated garage on the starboard side. Additionally, the main deck forward is thoughtfully arranged to house a second tender (rescue boat) and two jet skis.
Interior Design
The interior design of the M/Y Frette has a focus on creating a sense of space and light. In the main salon, ivory linen sofas and armchairs by Paolo Castelli are complemented by blue cushions, providing a contemporary and comfortable seating arrangement. The flooring features brushed and bleached American walnut parquet laid in a herringbone pattern, offering a warm contrast to the oak wood panels on the walls. These panels are designed to house a large TV screen framed by onyx and ivory marble, adding a subtle yet sophisticated touch.
The dining area on the upper deck is designed to facilitate gatherings and social interactions. It includes a panda marble table surrounded by Fendi Casa chairs, accommodating up to 12 guests. The space benefits from large floor-to-ceiling side windows that can fully open, enhancing the connection with the outdoors. The adjacent lounge area features Giorgetti Caddy armchairs and Fendi Casa coffee tables, providing additional space for relaxation.
In the owner's office, the use of oak parquet with a Tatami stone finish contrasts with walnut canaletto furniture, creating a functional workspace. This area includes a karaoke room, equipped with a Calacatta violet marble back wall and an 85-inch screen, setting the stage for entertainment. The office and karaoke room are furnished with yellow Fendi Casa armchairs and a custom three-seater sofa, maintaining a consistent design theme.
The galley is positioned on the port side, providing access to the crew area below deck. This space is designed for practicality, supporting the needs of both the crew and the yacht's operations.
The helm and Captain's cabin are located on the upper deck, strategically placed for efficient navigation and management of the yacht.
Accommodation
Frette accommodates 10 guests across five cabins. The lower deck features four double cabins, including two VIP cabins with en-suite bathrooms. There are two twin cabins, offering versatile sleeping arrangements for various needs.
The owner's suite is a noteworthy feature, providing a private retreat with an adjoining office, a large walk-in closet, and a karaoke room equipped with a private bathroom. The materials used in these areas, such as oak parquet with a Tatami-stone finish and walnut canaletto furniture, contribute to a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere.
The guest cabins continue the theme of refined elegance, with natural wood parquet flooring and walls clad in melange fabric. The ceilings are finished in white lacquered wood, creating a sense of lightness and harmony, ensuring that all guests enjoy a comfortable stay.
Crew accommodation for up to nine is located in the forward area of the lower deck. This section includes four double cabins with en-suite bathrooms, a crew mess, and a laundry area.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 1,800hp engines, motor yacht Frette is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots.
