The fifth hull in Van der Valk’s 26m (85ft) Pilot line has hit the water ahead of her scheduled delivery this spring.
Sporting a raised pilothouse design HELGA has been created for family cruising and features a fully customized layout and interior to suit her Owner’s requirements.
Notably, this sees the wheelhouse acting as a second lounge with space for dining, which in turn frees up space in the main saloon for additional chairs and sofas.
Accommodation is placed on the lower deck and features space for eight guests in up to four en-suite cabins. There is also space for a crew of three in two cabins.
Guido de Groot’s interior design showcases a contemporary ambiance blended with classic detailing, with contrasting whitewashed oak and walnut the predominant materials.
Outside HELGA features a helm station, large tender and lots of sunbeds and a hydraulic swimming platform. Her twin MTU 12V 2000 1920hp M96L engines give a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots.
HELGA is due to be delivered in the spring, and it is expected her Owners will spend the 2021 summer season with her in the Mediterranean.
It comes after Van der Valk delivered the fourth hull in the series, NICOSTASIA, in August last year.
Van der Valk specializes in delivering custom motor yachts up to 40m in size and are the only Dutch yard in the 18m to 40m (59ft to 131ft) range to build first-class aluminium hulls in-house and take care of all outfitting and finishing.
According to YachtBuyer intelligence Van der Valk has delivered 15 yachts since 2014 with an average length of 26.9m (88.2ft). This includes its largest build to date 36.8m (120.7ft) Santa Maria T.
