Design & Construction

Launched in March 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2021.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Helga is both functional and visually appealing. The deck is constructed from high-quality teak, offering durability and a timeless aesthetic. The hull is painted in a light blue color, providing a pleasant contrast to the white superstructure. The boot top is also white, maintaining a clean and cohesive appearance above the waterline. Below the waterline, the hull is painted black, a practical choice for maintenance and longevity.

The cockpit is spacious, comfortably accommodating up to ten people. The wrap-around teak work is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Key features include a large winch for stern docking and a concealed sink for convenient rinsing. Infrared heaters are also integrated into the design, catering to usage in colder climates.

The side walls are tall, promoting safety for children, pets, and adults alike. The forward section includes tiered seating, enhancing the social space and providing a clear view of the surroundings. The flybridge is accessible via a comfortable staircase and features modular furniture, a bar area with a sink, drink fridge, and ice maker, and multiple seating arrangements.

Helga also includes practical elements like a carbon fiber transom shower and large umbrellas on the aft deck. The swim platform is designed to store the tender, freeing up space on the top deck. The platform is hydraulic, adding to the ease of use.

Interior Design

The interior design of the yacht Helga is characterized by its practical elegance and functional layout. The use of bleached oak wood throughout the yacht creates a consistent and calming aesthetic. White matte finishes complement the wood, ensuring a clean and uncluttered look.

The galley is designed for efficiency and utility. It features a large induction cooktop, a combination of a Mealy coffee maker, and separate microwave and oven units. The galley also includes a garbage disposal, a full-size dishwasher, and multiple fridges and freezers, ensuring ample storage and convenience. The inclusion of a large pantry and various storage spaces contributes to the galley's functionality.

The helm is equipped with two Raymarine screens, a computer monitor, Seakeeper control, electrical energy control, MTU control panels, and MTU monitors. Additional features include basic switches, power supplies, rudder angle indicators, and multiple steering options. Bow and stern thruster controls, VHF radios, chain counters, and other essential navigational tools are also present. The helm design emphasizes practicality, with all necessary controls easily accessible.

The main lounge area maintains the yacht's theme of understated luxury. It is furnished with movable furniture, allowing for flexible arrangements. The beach house vibe is enhanced by the wood and light color palette. A pop-up TV and indirect lighting add to the room's functionality and ambiance. Storage is plentiful, with hidden compartments and a well-organized media console.

The pilot house is designed to serve dual functions as an office and a navigation area. It features a Recaro captain’s chair, a table that opens up to create a larger workspace, and storage space beneath. The helm in the pilot house is similarly equipped to the main helm, ensuring full control over the vessel.
