From 25m to 35m: Van der Valk to Launch Third JANGADA

Marking the third installment in the renowned series, the latest JANGADA represents a legacy of customization and growth.

Van der Valk Shipyard in the Netherlands has announced the commissioning of the third JANGADA, a bespoke 35m superyacht, by a seasoned client known for his exacting standards and evolving preferences. This new yacht follows the successful footsteps of its predecessors, the 25m and 32m JANGADA yachts.

The experienced owner, who first commissioned a JANGADA in 2013, has collaborated closely with Van der Valk and designers Nick Top and Guido de Groot to refine each subsequent model. This evolution has addressed the owner's growing family needs and specific comfort preferences, culminating in advanced noise and vibration attenuation through a steel hull, aluminum superstructure, and comprehensive sound insulation.

One of JANGADA's standout features is its aft flybridge jet-stream pool, spanning 4.5 meters with a 1.5-meter depth and holding 7,200 liters of water. This addition required innovative design solutions, including a warm-water storage tank beneath the tender garage. The yacht retains its elegant raised pilothouse profile while integrating an extra deck for enhanced volume, characterized by graphic lines and a timeless aesthetic.

JANGADA boasts panoramic views facilitated by expansive windows throughout, enhancing both interior ambiance and exterior views. The main deck and wheelhouse, doubling as a second lounge, prioritize unobstructed sightlines with foldable dashboard screens. Outdoor spaces feature large seating areas, including a custom-positioned bow seat optimized for sunset views over the French Riviera.

Safety and comfort are paramount aboard JANGADA, ensuring optimal seagoing performance with twin Seakeeper gyros and Humphree fin stabilizers. Practical amenities include wide stairs, walkways, and a dedicated six-meter Williams tender launched from a hydraulic side door garage. Enhanced privacy separates crew areas from owner and guest zones, complemented by noise-insulated crew quarters and a fully tailored guest experience.

The interior will reflect the owner's lifestyle with architecturally functional spaces highlighted by 4/10th whitewashed wood detailing. Van der Valk craftsmen are poised to deliver a meticulously crafted interior, meeting the challenge of completing this ambitious project in less than two years.
