Vripack reveals build of new Doggersbank explorer yacht

Dutch based designers Vripack has announced the build of 20m (65’) ‘Doggersbank 66 Offshore’, described as a ‘pocket-sized explorer yacht’.

Commissioned by a repeat European client, ‘Doggersbank 66 Offshore’, is designed to be a family-operated boat and is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2021.

Doggersbank motor yachts are unique amongst yachts for sale and have been dubbed as ‘the yardless yacht’. This is because any owner can approach any builder to have one built thanks to Vripack’s innovative construction method called Smart Kit®.

The kit contains full engineering and design details and, even better if you are looking to buy an explorer yacht, Vripack claims it cuts production time by 15 per cent, resulting in lower costs and faster delivery times.

Doggersbank is like the Leatherman of Swiss army knives. It's solid, rigid and highly engineered, and ready to perform in any condition. The Doggersbank has long been recognised as a reliable, Dutch-designed and engineered, Dutch-built yacht.

Around 700 Doggersbank yachts have been built to date, ranging from 10m (33’) up to 30m (98’) in size. They are characterised by a high bow and are known as robust, offshore vessels, adept at tackling long passages at sea.

Details of the interior layout and propulsion package for the ‘Doggersbank 66 Offshore’ have not yet been released, but the yacht is currently under construction at Dutch family-owned shipyard Altena in North Brabant.

Expedition yachts are some of the most specialized vessels on the planet and often have superb build quality, a low environmental footprint and top quality engineering. Take a look at the complete range of explorer yachts for sale.
