During the recent Singapore Yacht Show 2024, Wally debuted the wallywhy200, named MARLIN, to the Asia–Pacific (APAC) market, complete with décor by Loro Piana Interiors.
Crafted by the Wally design team, in collaboration with the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, and with naval architecture by Laurent Giles NA and interior design by Vallicelli Design Studio, the wallywhy200 merges the spaciousness of a larger displacement yacht with the agility of a semi-displacement vessel.
The 200GT yacht sports a widebody design, allowing for large interior volumes, an abundance of living space, and stability, comfort, and performance. Unlike catamarans, it overcomes volume constraints linked to a central hull and eliminates mooring challenges.
MARLIN hosts its sleeping quarters on the lower deck, featuring a master cabin with a transversely positioned bed and two guest cabins. A striking one-piece laminated carbon staircase, in addition to its load-bearing function, connects the three decks, eliminating the need for bulkheads in the expansive 61sq/m open space living area, furnished with open-pore teak.
Loro Piana Interiors' rendition of the wallywhy200 in its "main deck entertainment" iteration emphasizes a rich interplay of textures and materials, creating subtle contrasts in light and neutral tones accented with ginger and sand hues. The master cabin showcases the luxurious Antalya jacquard on the bed headboard and linen sofa adorned with printed cushions, while the guest cabin is finished in light-reflecting jacquard textures and cashmere accessories.
The upper deck also utilizes rich textures, with jacquard textiles covering the entertainment area and a durable dehors rug in the dining space. Semi-transparent linen curtains enhance the glazed bow, while Connemara linen upholsters the bespoke sofa and Ginza armchairs, set atop a plush Merino wool rug.
Outdoor and indoor areas alike prioritize Loro Piana Interiors' dehors technical fabrics in neutral tones, complemented by mahogany wood Delight chairs by Exteta and custom-made pieces, creating an atmosphere of refined luxury throughout, even extending to the beach club furnishings.
Wally has stated that another unit of the wallywhy200, also adorned with a distinct Loro Piana interior, is scheduled to arrive in Asia in the latter part of 2024.
