On Deck

The boat has an optional bathing platform that can lift up to 250 kilograms. There is a seating area that can be configured to face forward when at anchor, and it allows the passengers to enjoy the view across the bay. The seating area also includes a hi-lo adjustable table and a hard top with various options, including doors to make the area a coupé, a larger sliding roof, or a T-top for an open experience.

Nick then takes a walk around the yacht, pointing out the wide side decks and railing for ease of movement. He also points out the one-piece windscreen with large wipers and the Bavaria logo on the front, both of which he likes. The boat also has an anchor winch on the bow and an anchor hanging over the stem.

The yacht features a galley on the upper deck that includes a hob, sink, and fridge. The helm position is equipped with an IPS-style controller, throttle controls, a USB charger, inductive charger, and twin screens in one display. There are sliding windows on both sides of the helm for ventilation.

Interior

Inside the yacht, Nick appreciates the compact galley which allows for a large heads compartment with a separate shower area. The yacht has two cabins, a dinette area for private dining, and a mid cabin with two single beds that can be converted into a double bed. He particularly likes the chaise longue area on the cockpit above, which then provides plenty of headroom in the mid cabin.

Performance

The yacht is powered by two Volvo Penta D4-300s engines, which Nick says can push the boat to speeds of over 30 knots, with a cruising speed in the mid-20s and a range of about 250 miles. He also notes the easy access to the engines for servicing.

In Summary

Nick concludes the tour by expressing his admiration for the Bavaria SR36, highlighting the one-piece windscreen, the low-glare finish which reduces reflections, and the overall thoughtful design of the yacht.
