On Deck

The design and build of the yacht is fantastic, with special note to the overhang with an illuminated badge in the center and the teak decks that bristle with style. The Fairline Targa 45 Open includes a tender garage for storing a rib, and above the garage, a large sun pad for lounging.

The Fairline Targa 45 has an open design with large sliding roof section. The cockpit area works well with the boat's design, in particular the neatly designed Fairline tables, which could conveniently fold away, and a cleverly positioned seat that enhanced the social vibe of the area.

The wet bar is showcased, complete with a sink, barbecue, icemaker, and fridge - a set-up which caters well to the seating area. The doors have a very solid feel with a magnetic catch.

Interior

Inside the yacht, there is even more Fairline detailing, including stylish stainless steel fittings on the steps and a combination of light flooring with dark wood. The saloon area is very comfortable with large windows and views and storage spaces. The well-equipped galley features a microwave placed cleverly in a space-saving spot.

Below there are spacious cabins with a considerable amount of headroom. The cabins have dark wood finishing and the classy touches here and there. The ensuite facilities in each cabin and the separate shower stalls were showcased. There are large hull windows and a smart use of space in the cabins.

Performance

The engine room, housing a pair of Volvo Penta IPS-600 drives, was accessible via steps for quick checks, but more substantial access is via the dinghy garage. The engines, with 435 horsepower each, give the yacht a speed of about 31-32 knots and a range of about 250 miles at cruising speed.

In Summary

In conclusion, Nick Burnham was impressed with the Fairline Targa 45, praising its neat design and the way it was built. He found the yacht stylish, functional, and well-designed, making it a fascinating tour for him.
