On Deck

The model explored is a flybridge version, although there is also an 'S' version that features a flat roof with a sliding panel over the helm. This particular model also has a hi-lo platform for a tender.  Nick is impressed with the cockpit, highlighting the table with a telescopic leg that can be dropped to create a lounging area.

On the foredeck the diesel and water fillers are pointed out as well as a sunbathing area. Heading back to the cockpit, there are steps up to the flybridge, an area not present in the S version. The flybridge offers more living space and features seating, a table, grill, sink, and fridge. The upper helm with a repeater for the Raymarine Axiom system and joystick for the IPS system are also located here.

Interior

Inside, he notices that Prestige has shifted the access to the master cabin from the back to the front, this allows the area to have the full beam of the boat. The galley is aft and features a fridge, oven, hob, sink, and even a dishwasher. There is also plenty of storage space.

The Prestige 416 features deep, comfortable seats and a window line that extends all the way down, providing a great view. The yacht is equipped with touchscreen controls and a double seat at the helm. Nick appreciates the dark matte finish that prevents reflections on the screen.

The yacht's layout is intriguing, with the option of two or three cabins. In the three-cabin layout, the master cabin can be split into two singles or kept as a double. It also features skylights and plenty of storage. If the yacht were a two-cabin version, the master cabin would serve as a guest cabin.

The yacht also has a heads and shower area that can be closed off. The day heads in the three-cabin layout is slightly smaller than in a two-cabin layout, but Nick reassures that it's still a decent size. With three cabins, the yacht offers space for six people. However, if less space is needed, the two-cabin version provides more space in each cabin.

Performance

The engine room houses a pair of Volvo Penta D6 IPS-600 engines that can push the boat to slightly over 30 knots. The engine room is spacious and well lit, with various systems easily accessible.

In Summary

Nick praises the Prestige 460 flybridge as an interesting boat, especially given the option to choose between two or three cabins.
