Nick appreciates the hi-lo platform at the back of the boat, which can be submerged into the water through a mechanism underneath. The ability of the Princess V48 to store a jet ski or a tender is highlighted in the garage below the sun pad at the back, which can comfortably fit a Williams 285 tender. The extendable passarelle is installed here, which aids in accessing the quay when the boat is stern-to berthed, common in the Mediterranean.

There is plenty of opportunity for sunbathing onboard with sunbathing cushions on the foredeck and sun pad cushions in the aft cockpit. The roof also opens and there are skylights in the lower decks, providing plenty of natural light. 

Nick notes the distinguishing factor between the deck saloon and open version. The open version, which the tour is based on, has its whole main deck as the cockpit, featuring a large sun pad at the back, a seating area around a table, and a wet bar equipped with a top-loading fridge, sink, and barbecue. The helm position features lift bolster seats, and an expansive opening section that can be pulled back, making the boat an open main deck.

Below, the interior features oak woodwork with a satin finish in the galley area and the saloon. The galley is furnished with a fridge freezer, ceramic hob, and combination microwave, while the saloon features a table that converts into a sleeping area, a switch panel for controlling ship systems, and a hi-fi system.

The spacious master cabin has ample storage and ensuite facilities, which includes a mirror, sink, toilet, and a separate shower area. The guest cabin with storage, a hanging locker, also features scissor berths that can be converted into a double bed or two singles. This cabin has seperate access to the day heads.

The engine room houses a pair of Volvo Penta IPS-600 engines with 435 horsepower each, a Seakeeper gyrostabilizer, a generator, and battery management system.  The engines can give the boat a top speed of just over 30 knots.

Nick finds the Princess V48 to be a beautifully designed boat with a spacious interior and excellent outdoor living spaces. Its powerful engines offer a thrilling cruising experience that he clearly admires.
