About
Andrew Winch has lent his talents to the interior while exterior design is from the sketch book of Tim Heywood; characterised by feminine and functional lines enhanced by harmonious details including broad windows, supple sheerline, and a gull-wing mast arch.
A five-deck luxury vessel, each Amels 212 semi-custom design is composed of a sundeck, bridge deck, main deck, lower deck, and tanktop. Standard design incorporates an extra-long sundeck with Jacuzzi, wet-bar, gym, dining and lounging area, two VIP suites on the bridge deck, and a main deck with grand foyer, galley and crew service area.
The lower deck houses the engine room and large garage for two tenders and watersports equipment. With a standard interior design in classic style, a number of flexible and adjustable options are available to be easily changeable to each client’s individual taste.
The vessel has a cruising speed of 13 knots and can reach a maximum speed of 17 knots. A range of 5,000 nautical miles is possible when cruising at 13 knots. The line is capable of accommodating 14 guests and 19 crew.
Amels Limited Edition yachts are created using the same methods, materials, standards, and technology as Amels custom yachts but offer extensive options for personalisation that ensure no sister ship is ever the same.
From The Manufacturer
The LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 212 is conceived as a “big 65-meter,” with high volume for her length to permit incomparably generous indoor accommodations and numerous outdoor choices for luxuriant, gracious living. The design was realized by Heywood and Winch, who are longtime colleagues since working at the side of Jon Bannenberg. They are today at the top of their individual creative power and they share a well-reasoned philosophy based on originality and attention to detail. Working together without a specific client in mind —but intimately familiar with what every client desires—they have styled a yacht of unique dynamism, charisma, and timelessness, confident that it will be attractive to discerning clients seeking the good life.
From her 200-square-meter sun deck to her zero-speed stabilization the LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 212 is a formidable, go-anywhere yacht designed to thrill the most demanding owner. Powered by Caterpillar diesels, her top speed is an unusually high 17 knots; with 155,000 liters of fuel her range is 5,000 nautical miles. She will carry a low-noise electric bow thruster to assure silent running, and she is being built in a “green” manner to guard the environment. The shipyard is constructing the LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 212 to Lloyd’s Register Class and in compliance with the MCA Large Commercial Yacht Code (LY2) under Cayman Islands registry
