The Motor Boat Awards celebrate boating innovation and exemplary customer service. Awards are handed out each year recognizing the best sports yachts, adventure yachts, superboats, and more.

Sponsored by Sleipner, the awards not only celebrate the best new boats for sale, they also commend builders developing innovations that have industry-wide applications.

About the Motor Boat Awards

Run by the British magazine, Motor Boat & Yachting, the Motor Boat Awards are an established awards ceremony in the industry and were initially held to coincide with the London Boat Show before being moved to be part of the world's largest yacht and watersports show, Boot Dusseldorf.

Nominations for the awards primarily lay with the general public as they vote across several categories. A shortlist of finalists is then created following intensive sea trials and processes to determine the finalists of the nominations.

Several factors are accounted for before deciding on winning motor yachts, including; design, abilities, characteristics, and value.

In 2025, the Motor Boat Awards branched out further with a new award to recognize builders who have worked to develop innovations and solutions to benefit the wider yachting community.
