The The ShowBoats Design Awards 2012, held in February at the prestigious Superyacht Design Symposium, brought together industry leaders, yacht builders, and enthusiasts to celebrate outstanding achievements in the world of yachting. The Recreational Area for Guest Use Award category showcased an outstanding selection of models that captured the industry's finest achievements. The top honor was rightfully earned by Vertigo, with several other notable finalists, including entries from Pendennis Shipyard, RMK Marine, Rossinavi, and Feadship. The event was open to everyone, providing an inclusive and celebratory atmosphere to honour the year’s most acclaimed yachts.
The yacht Vertigo was the winner of the Recreational Area for Guest Use Award in 2012 at the The ShowBoats Design Awards.
Vertigo's innovative features are what won her this award. The midships lazarettes on the lower deck open to the sea through shell doors from a gymnasium on the port side and a diving store to starboard. Both fold-down platforms are accessible from the deck and can be used as swim platforms or tender docks. The ease of access from the guest cabins is an added attraction.
