Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.2m beam and a 4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 558 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the yacht Achilles reflects a focused approach to functionality and visual appeal. Both the hull and superstructure are finished in a classic white, delivering a clean and timeless look. The boot top and below the waterline areas are painted black, creating a sharp contrast with the white exterior and emphasizing the yacht’s sleek lines.

The main deck layout supports operational efficiency and guest comfort. The tenders, including a passenger carriage and a recreational ski boat, are launched forward, maintaining privacy for those on board. The decision to relocate the tenders to the main deck level has notably improved the yacht's profile, creating additional space for a helipad and an expansive sundeck.

Achilles' bridge deck has been transformed into a versatile dining area with opening glass panels and a structural glass bulkhead, offering a clear view of the sundeck. This space is well-ventilated with glass side panels that enhance airflow, making it a practical setting for dining and relaxation.

The top deck is designed for both privacy and function. It includes a bar fitted into the mast assembly and a scientifically developed fabric canopy that provides shade without flapping in high winds. This deck offers a secluded area for the owner and their guests, ensuring a degree of privacy and comfort.

Interior Design

Utilizing a combination of walnut, maple, and beech, the joinerwork throughout Achilles has a retro aesthetic that adds a touch of character without overwhelming the senses. The saloon, a central space for relaxation and socializing, features a deep pile cream carpet woven in America, chosen specifically for its unmatched depth and quality.

The centerpiece of the saloon is a plexiglass tower of televisions, strategically placed to allow viewing from different seating areas. This feature caters to the owner's interest in filmmaking, providing an immersive and versatile entertainment experience. The paneling in the saloon and other areas adopts a neutral palette of maple, beech, and walnut, creating a cohesive and understated environment. Window screens with a geometric design inspired by Mexican motifs add a subtle decorative element.

The informal dining room, located just aft of the bridge, is framed by opening glass panels on the sides and a structural glass bulkhead that looks onto the sundeck. This design creates a marine conservatory effect, allowing natural light to flood the space while offering expansive views.

Accommodation

Achilles offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 7 suites. Located forward of the saloon, the VIP stateroom is furnished with a simple blue and red decorative theme, providing a serene and inviting space. Three additional guest cabins are situated aft on the lower deck. One of them, previously used as a sauna, is still informally known as the "sauna room." The starboard cabin is equipped with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom that provides access to the emergency generator room via a watertight fire bulkhead.

The owner's suite on Achilles is located directly above the crew mess and is well-insulated to ensure privacy and quiet. It features grey ash walls, South American abstract paintings, and a superb glass lamp. It features:

She is also capable of carrying up to 13 crew. The crew mess now offers a more spacious and functional area for the crew. The quarters include six bathrooms and a well-planned galley.
