Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 17.1m beam and a 3.54m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2021. Launched in August 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in December 2023.
Exterior Design
Extensive wrap-around bronze-tinted glass contributes to a futuristic aesthetic, influenced by the expertise of London glass specialist Eckersley O'Callaghan.
The flybridge is spacious and includes a spa pool, providing a functional area for relaxation. The deckhouse roof features 65 square meters of solar panels, which generate 60kW of energy daily. This sustainable feature is both practical and efficient.
The yacht's exterior also includes fabric elements designed by Italian fabric house Loro Piana. The striped director's chairs and loungers offer a simple yet stylish option for outdoor seating.
Interior Design
ArtExplorer's main salon doubles as a central corridor in charter mode and converts into a gallery space in museum mode, illustrating its versatile nature. The space is partitioned by a mast column, referred to as "the bean," which creates cozy zones within the large area.
Concrete-look flooring, inspired by the Fondation Pinault in Venice, is a notable feature. This flooring is made from a resin used in supertankers, offering a modern appearance while being durable and lightweight. This choice ensures the floor can withstand the foot traffic of up to 2,000 people without cracking.
Natural textures play a significant role in the interior design. Raffia walls, wooden lamps, and textured fabrics are used to add softness to the space. The furniture, designed in collaboration with Pierre Frey, includes rounded bouclé wool sofas and armchairs, providing a comfortable yet stylish seating arrangement in the main salon.
Accommodation
ArtExplorer offers accommodation for up to 12 guests across six cabins. The layout is designed to maximize comfort and functionality, with four cabins situated on the main deck. Among these, the master suite and a VIP cabin offer easy access and premium amenities. The master suite, in particular, provides direct access to the side deck, ensuring privacy and convenience for the owner or primary guests.
The two additional guest cabins are located in the starboard hull. These cabins feature design elements that take advantage of the natural curvature of the hull, accentuated by mahogany detailing, creating a distinct and elegant atmosphere.
Crew accommodation for nine is thoughtfully planned in the port hull, which also houses the galley.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C9.3) engines, motor yacht ArtExplorer is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots.
