Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.09m beam and a 2.85m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 338 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the tenth yacht built on the 131 Yacht design. She was completed at Sunseeker's Shipyard, Poole yard in United Kingdom where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in June 2018.

Exterior Design

Elysium features an extended private deck that enhances privacy and offers direct access to the lower helm and Skydeck, along with a functional outdoor helm station, allowing hands-on navigation with a comprehensive view.

The forward bow area is designed for relaxation, with ample seating and dining spaces. A sizeable plunge pool is strategically placed on the foredeckto offer privacy when moored. A notable modification to the Sunseeker 131 design includes a re-engineered transom to support a larger tender, which is essential for safe and efficient transport to and from shore. The bathing platform has been adjusted to accommodate this change, featuring a hydraulic system for deploying the tender swiftly.

On the Skydeck, a custom mast has been added to enhance navigation capabilities during night sailing, while maintaining a clear sightline. The bar area has been expanded, providing a practical space for social gatherings.

The exterior design prioritizes practical elements, such as the relocation of the spa pool and the extended sunpads on the sundeck. These changes have increased the gym's headroom and improved the overall layout for outdoor leisure and fitness activities.

Interior Design

Key materials include natural open-grain oak satin wood panelling and wenge floors, which provide a consistent and understated backdrop throughout the yacht. Legacy faux leather from Majilite is used for feature panels, contributing to a classic and timeless interior that is both soothing and inviting.

The galley onboard Elysium is equipped for efficiency rather than full-scale culinary production. It houses essential appliances, including two ovens, a microwave, four fridges, and two freezers. However, it primarily serves for preparing light snacks and breakfasts, as the owner prefers dining ashore to maintain the freshness of the interiors.

The helm station is a standout feature, designed to accommodate the owner's preference for navigating the yacht personally. It is fully functional, replicating every aspect of the main bridge. This includes chartplotters, FLIR night-vision cameras, and a Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System. The helm is positioned for optimal visibility and ease of access, ensuring a practical experience for the captain.

The upper saloon is a space designed for relaxation, benefiting from floor-to-ceiling glazing that bathes the interior in natural light. The layout is straightforward, with seating arrangements that encourage social interaction. The use of pale carpets complements the oak woodwork, while the absence of heavy drapery ensures the interiors remain bright and airy.

Accommodation

Elysium offers a thoughtfully designed accommodation layout, catering to the needs of up to 12 guests across six cabins. This includes a customized full-beam owner's suite located on the upper deck, providing a private retreat with direct access to a personal deck. This suite replaces the traditional sky lounge cabin onboard a Sunseeker 131 yacht, adding an extra guest cabin compared to the standard layout.

Additionally, the main deck houses a full-beam VIP suite, offering ample space and comfort. The lower deck is configured with three double cabins and one twin cabin, all equipped with entertainment centers and Samsung LED television screens. Each cabin features ensuite bathroom facilities, ensuring privacy and convenience for all guests.

Crew accommodation is also well-considered, with facilities to house up to eight crew members in four dedicated crew cabins, allowing for efficient service and operational management aboard Elysium.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 6M93) 12-cylinder 3,181hp engines, motor yacht Elysium is capable of reaching a top speed of 25 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 26,700 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
