Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.09m beam and a 2.85m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 344 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the eleventh yacht built on the 131 Yacht design. She was completed at Sunseeker's Shipyard, Poole yard in United Kingdom where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in August 2018.

Exterior Design

The distinctive curvature of No. 9's profile captures attention, flooding the interior with natural light through expansive sections of glazing. Portholes within the pristine white hull strategically invite light and water reflections into the lower deck accommodations. A notable design feature is the double section of glazing forward, creating a rounded broad inverted triangle shape, offering extensive views from the main cabins. This same design motif repeats aft, amidships, where the superstructure drops away to maximize interior illumination, with even the gunwales opened strategically for visual interest.

Starting from the raked bow, a short foredeck houses anchoring equipment, leading to a guest area with smart teak decking, U-shaped guest seating, and sun pads. Side walkways feature small side balconies opposite the bridge doors, with sharply raked window sections for optimal visibility from the navigation station.

The yacht's overall profile gently inclines from the bow towards the radar mast, culminating in its sturdy structure. At the stern, the fixed bathing platform extends slightly outward with a rounded edge, accessible via twin staircases from the main deck aft.

On the main deck aft, a U-shaped sofa fits seamlessly with the deck contours, complemented by stylish wood-topped tables and Visschedyk-designed Smoothie lounge chairs in plantation-grown teak. Al fresco dining and additional seating are available on the upper deck aft, accessed by a curved staircase on the starboard side.

The sun deck provides ample space for guest relaxation, with large sun pads, a seating area under the canopy of the radar mast, and a wet bar and BBQ grill area benefiting from shade while allowing gentle sea breezes to flow through for natural ventilation.

No. 9 showcases a unique exterior with a distinctive curvature and expansive glazing, providing natural light and extensive views, powered by twin diesel engines reaching a top speed of 23 knots with a balance of space and speed.

Interior Design

No.9's interior bursts with vibrant pops of color, notably deep orange and black, set against large cream sofas resting on plain cream carpets with a subtle flowing line pattern. Dark marble tables provide a striking contrast and cohesion with the dark bulwarks and cornice feature. Light voile curtains elegantly frame the large windows, ensuring uninterrupted views of the surroundings.

Bold artwork with a circle theme infuses the space with vibrant orange, rich ocean blue, and black hues, tying together the hints of color throughout. The ceiling of the main salon showcases a captivating blue glass installation inspired by waves, creating a dynamic visual flow within the space.

In the cabins, a neutral palette prevails, anchored by plain cream carpets and curtains that serve as a backdrop for the rich, highly lacquered wood paneling and ceiling features, allowing them to command attention. Natural and textured bed bases add depth and interest to the space.

Touches of color are introduced through cushions and throws, embracing the serene blue hues of the ocean and sky, adding a sense of tranquility and connection to the surrounding seascape.

No.9 offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
