Design & Construction
Designed around a deep vee GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.78m beam and a 1.98m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 213 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the third yacht built on the Custom Line 112 design.
Exterior Design
Functionality is woven into the design, evident in the transom wall that folds down to become a generous swim platform, granting easy access to the water and facilitating the launch of the two wave runners stored in the sizable garage. This practical feature also offers additional space for storing essential equipment, from life jackets to fishing gear.
The aft deck is fitted with a high-gloss table and bench seating, complemented by additional chairs, allowing for outdoor dining and relaxation. A conveniently located docking station adds to the yacht's practical features, enhancing maneuverability and control when docking.
The flybridge is equipped for entertainment and relaxation, featuring tender storage with a crane for additional watercraft, a wide-open space with sun pads, and a bar area complete with bar stools, refrigerators, ice makers, and a sink. The helm station on the flybridge, complete with a second set of controls, provides an alternative spot for navigating the vessel.
Moving towards the bow, the side boarding gates on each side lead to full side access decks that are notably deep. The bow includes a large row of sun pads, neatly arranged for lounging, and the necessary equipment for anchoring and mooring.
Interior Design
The main salon of Mambo is characterized by rich woodwork that conveys a sense of warmth and professionalism. The area is equipped with a television and a bar, complete with storage and a sideboard. The bar is positioned for ease of access and interaction, offering a behind-the-counter perspective for staff.
The formal dining area is integrated into the main salon, distinguished by its high-gloss table and complementing chairs. Lighting in this space is subtly incorporated, with strips of accent lighting that enhance the ambiance without overpowering the room's traditional aesthetic.
The galley of Mambo is designed with functionality in mind. It features an L-shaped layout that contains a prep space for crew, ample cold storage, a dishwasher, and essential cooking appliances such as sinks, an oven, and a cooktop. The galley provides a side access door for crew to move efficiently without disturbing guests.
The helm station is designed for practical operation with a focus on accessibility and control. It includes a range of communication equipment and camera systems centrally located for easy monitoring. The helm area also incorporates comfortable seating and a table with the same wood grain finish found throughout the yacht, maintaining the consistent design theme.
Accommodation
Mambo is equipped to accommodate up to eight guests across four well-appointed staterooms, each designed to provide a restful and luxurious experience. Each cabin includes an ensuite bathroom, ensuring complete convenience and privacy for all guests onboard.
The owner suite is a highlight of the yacht's accommodations, located on the main deck to provide exceptional views and natural light. This full-beam suite is not just about space, but about the attention to detail and quality of finish. It includes ample closet space, a large ensuite bathroom with a rainfall shower and a bench, as well as a walkthrough setup for ease of movement. The use of traditional and exotic wood in the owner suite creates an atmosphere of understated elegance.
Below decks, guests will find three additional cabins, including the VIP suite, which rivals the owner's suite in its expansiveness and could be utilized as an alternative master cabin if desired. It features a walk-in closet with a built-in safe, a spacious ensuite with both a tub and a separate rainfall shower, and ample storage. The two remaining guest cabins are mirrored in layout, with each offering a comfortable bed angled at 45 degrees to the entrance, a personal ensuite with a curved glass shower door, and storage under the bed.
Mambo is capable of carrying a crew of four. The crew quarters are separate from the guest areas, ensuring a discrete and professional service experience.
Performance & Capabilities
At the heart of Mambo's mechanical prowess are twin MTU 12V 4000 engines, each delivering a formidable 2,775 horsepower. This powertrain affords the yacht a top speed of 27 knots, allowing swift traversal across the waves. With a cruising speed set at 18 knots, Mambo offers an estimated range of around 1,000 nautical miles, though actual range can vary with operational conditions.
The yacht's engine room is a testament to Custom Line's commitment to performance and ease of maintenance. The space is not only capacious but also well illuminated, ensuring that all machinery is accessible and serviceable.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Mambo also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
