Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.3m beam and a 2.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the tenth yacht built on the 500Exp design. Launched in May 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Sanlorenzo's La Spezia yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in August 2023.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Para Bellum stands out with its practical and sturdy features. The yacht is equipped with a raked bow, designed to enhance performance and ensure a smooth journey through various sea conditions. The deck is constructed from teak, which is known for its durability and resistance to harsh marine environments. The hull is painted a clean white, providing a sharp contrast to the grey superstructure. This color combination is completed with a black boot top and antifoul, giving the yacht a streamlined and cohesive appearance.
Para Bellum features an elongated aft deck, allowing for ample storage of toys and tenders up to nine meters in length. This area is also utilized as a lounge space, furnished with loose furniture and a swimming pool.
The deck areas are generous, with a 113-square-metre aft sea-deck terrace that includes an infinity pool. The sundeck is equipped with a shaded observation lounge, a Jacuzzi, and a second al fresco dining area beneath a hard top. The upper deck’s aft section houses a bar and the first of two outdoor dining spaces.
Beneath the main deck aft, the beach club features a bar and a foldout door that converts the space into a terrace overlooking the sea. The area also includes a five-tonne crane for moving toys and tenders.
Interior Design
Para Bellum's interior design, courtesy of Antonio Citterio, focuses on functionality with a beach house aesthetic. The materials used include warm wood tones and bright, light textiles, creating an environment that feels both inviting and modern. Contemporary curves and mirrored accents are integrated throughout the vessel, enhancing its sleek and current feel.
The main saloon is the central hub of the yacht, featuring a guest lobby that leads to a central lounge area and a formal dining setup. This area is designed to be practical and comfortable, providing ample space for socializing and dining.
The upper deck saloon follows the same design theme as the main saloon but introduces pops of "rusted red." This space is more informal and includes two sofas and woven coffee tables. Large windows ensure the area is well-lit with natural light. Sliding doors open to an aft deck space that includes a bar and the first of two al fresco dining areas. This upper saloon can also be converted into a cinema room at night, equipped with a drop-down screen.
Accommodation
Para Bellum accommodates up to 12 guests in four ensuite cabins. The main deck features a master suite with an exclusive drop-down terrace, providing direct access to the sea. This area offers a private retreat for the owner, combining functionality with comfort.
In addition to the master suite, there are three other guest cabins, each equipped with ensuite facilities to ensure privacy and convenience for all onboard.
Para Bellum also includes accommodations for a professional crew of 10, ensuring top-tier service and maintenance throughout the voyage.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 1,115hp engines, motor yacht Para Bellum is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 74,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,400 nautical miles at an economic speed of 9 knots.
