Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.8m beam and a 1.85m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 497 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the second yacht built on the Prince Shark design. Launched in March 2014 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2014.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Parillion is characterized by its distinctive military-style, with 45-degree reverse slanted bridge windows that lend a sporty and aggressive appearance. The squared-off awning support beams on the sundeck reinforce this bold aesthetic. Horizontal lines and elongated windows stretch across the yacht's profile, enhancing the visual length without compromising the panoramic views or natural light that floods the main deck.

On the main deck, notches in the coamings adjacent to key windows amplify the sense of openness, culminating in near full-height windows in both the saloon and the owner's suite. These design choices ensure that guests enjoy unrestricted vistas and ample daylight.

The foredeck presents a large area dedicated to lounging and sunbathing, strategically positioned to offer excellent views during navigation and privacy when at anchor. However, the most impressive feature of the exterior is the flying bridge deck. Here, an arch with large smoked-glass windows provides shelter from the elements while maintaining optimal sightlines from a vantage point more than nine meters above the water.

The aft section of the flying bridge is engineered around a 3.6-meter pool, a central feature of the deck. A waterfall, fed by a recirculating system, cascades from the louvered hardtop down a glass panel. This auditory experience is heightened by the pool's location, far above the sea's surface. The deck itself showcases crisp teak and stainless steel details, with the pool bottom adorned with Murano glass tiles.

Polaris melds sportive grace with bespoke luxury, standing out with its Murano glass-tiled waterfall pool.

Interior Design

The main materials employed in the custom-made furniture and design elements are varnished ebony and a light ivory-colored maple. These woods are complemented by high-quality leathers in off-white, creating a balanced contrast throughout the yacht's interior spaces.

The use of marble adds a distinct character to Parillion, providing both visual appeal and a sense of enduring craftsmanship. The marble's presence is felt in various areas. Stainless steel details, both embossed and polished, are incorporated into the furniture and walls, introducing a modern flair.

Lighting plays a significant role in setting the mood onboard. Custom lighting systems, devised by Promotech Italia, highlight the yacht's architectural features and design elements. The owner's bathroom, for instance, showcases onyx with backlighting that accentuates its natural beauty and color variations. The lighting system is designed to be user-friendly, with easy-to-access stone elements for maintenance.

This yacht features a truly striking Swarovski-crystal chandelier, artfully spiraling around a backlit column, extending from the main corridor to the upper deck. Crafted with care by Swarovski artisans in Austria, this chandelier provides a dynamic play of light, casting vibrant reflections against the staircase's mirrored walls, enhancing the ambiance with a touch of elegance.

Accommodation

Parillion accommodates up to eight guests across her well-appointed cabins, ensuring an intimate and exclusive voyage. The owner suite, a highlight of the yacht's accommodations, is situated forward on the main deck. This expansive suite features panoramic windows that offer guests sweeping views of the ocean and allow natural light to flood the interior. The owner suite also comprises an en-suite bathroom, where the interplay of light and the onyx materials create an environment of tranquility.

Beneath the main deck, the lower deck is home to three double guest cabins and one twin cabin, each designed to provide a retreat for guests after a day of adventure. The guest cabins are outfitted with the finest materials and finishes, echoing the yacht's overall aesthetic.

In addition to the luxurious guest accommodations, Parillion is staffed by a dedicated crew of 10. The crew quarters have been designed with the same attention to detail, ensuring that every member of the team has a comfortable and private space from which to deliver the highest level of service.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by two MTU 12V 4000 M93L engines, each producing 3,460 horsepower at 2,100rpm, Parillion has demonstrated her capability by reaching a maximum speed of 24.3 knots during rigorous sea trials. These trials were performed under challenging conditions, with Force 4 sea and wind states and gusts reaching up to 30 knots.

Despite her robust performance, Parillion maintains impressive fuel efficiency. At a moderate pace of nine to nine-and-a-half knots, the yacht consumes a mere 90 liters per hour, affording her a substantial range exceeding 4,800 nautical miles. This "transfer speed" is notably economical for long-distance cruising. When the yacht's speed is increased to a cruising velocity of 17 knots, fuel consumption rises to approximately 580 liters per hour. Operating at full capacity and reaching the top speed results in a consumption rate of around 1,300 liters per hour.

The yacht's technical features are complemented by a sophisticated array of electronic systems for both entertainment and operation, including advanced AV and iPad-controlled in-cabin systems, provided by Videoworks. Exterior and interior lighting throughout Parillion is engineered by Promotech Italia.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Waterfront living can be enjoyed to the fullest, thanks to a large beach club and connecting swim platform with plenty of space for sitting back and admiring the sea views. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Parillion also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
