Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.2m beam and a 3.1m draft. The yacht is built over 6 decks with an internal volume of 1,080 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in March 2014 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2014.

Exterior Design

Saramour's six decks tower with an imposing stature, yet this is cleverly balanced by a cascade of windows on the upper decks. These, along with the three prominent recessed windows on the forward section of the main deck, bring an airiness to her profile, while the distinctive sweeping knuckle originating at the bow adds a subtle nuance to her lines.

Saramour's evolution in style is a deliberate and well-executed blend of CRN's traditional DNA with the more personal and modern influences requested by the owner. Paszkowski's touch is evident in the infusion of automotive-inspired details, as seen in the curvy sundeck profile that slopes gently backward, echoing the dynamism of luxury sports cars. This nuanced approach to design results in a yacht that is both instantly recognizable and entirely unique.

The exterior spaces of Saramour have been thoughtfully designed to enhance the sense of privacy that the owner holds in high regard. Unlike many contemporary yachts that emphasize the integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, Saramour opts for a clear delineation, with cozy and private interior spaces that benefit from the natural light provided by the generous windows. The main deck, for instance, features an intimate lobby/reception area, leading to a spacious open-plan saloon, rather than the more typical large glass entrance.

Adding to the yacht's exclusivity, the owner's suite includes access to a panoramic deck forward, featuring a private pool encircled by sunpads, offering a haven of seclusion. The thoughtful design extends to the overhang above the pool, which is shaped to prevent onlookers from the Portuguese bridge above, ensuring complete privacy while enjoying the outdoor amenities.

There is a harmonious balance between functionality and aesthetics on Saramour. From the selection of wood and fabrics to the arrangement of spaces and the integration of art, every element has been curated to create an environment of tranquility and refined luxury.

Interior Design

The linear design by Francesco Paszkowski is purposefully simplistic, yet it achieves a level of sophistication that is both rare and enchanting. It serves as an unobtrusive backdrop to showcase the owner's collection of art, antique rugs, and precious blown-glass objects, which bring vibrant bursts of color and personality to the spaces within.

The choice of Canaletto walnut wood throughout the yacht has a linear grain that stretches horizontally, amplifying the sense of spaciousness, while subtle chromatic contrasts create a decorative pattern on the otherwise plain surfaces. The wood's presence is felt in every room, bringing warmth and cohesion to the design.

The interior design, overseen by Costanza Pazzi, head of CRN's interior design department, is characterized by a minimalist style, with loose furniture from esteemed brands like B&B, Molteni, and Maxalto. The upholstery, personally chosen by the owner, complements the yacht's aesthetic, with light beige linens on sofas and armchairs. Meanwhile, the beds' headboards make a bold statement with a total of 99 glossy surfaces lacquered in a deep red hue. This intense color energizes wall panels and doors, creating an inviting and dynamic atmosphere.

Accommodation

Saramourt's interior layout is tailored exclusively for the family's use, offering a haven for long, serene holidays. Saramour can accommodate guests in unparalleled style within her six personalized cabins. The owner's suite is located forward on the upper deck to provide utmost privacy. This suite is complete with an office, a walk-in wardrobe, and a spacious en suite bathroom. It uniquely provides access to a panoramic private deck, featuring a secluded pool surrounded by sunpads, crafted to ensure that privacy is maintained even in outdoor relaxation spaces.

Adjacent to the owner's suite is a saloon, used as the family's television room, thereby creating an intimate family area separate from the rest of the yacht's guest accommodations.

The main deck is home to a VIP apartment, boasting a full-beam bedroom with an adjoining sitting room. This area is designed to offer both comfort and seclusion, with a passageway leading to a private recessed balcony, perfect for enjoying the view or a quiet moment with a beverage. The yacht also houses three additional cabins on the lower deck, where guests are treated to the same level of comfort and elegance. The largest of these features a full-beam layout with its own dressing area and a spacious en suite.

The crew quarters are strategically placed to maintain separation from the guest accommodations, ensuring that service is discreet and non-intrusive. A total of twelve crew members can be housed in comfortably appointed cabins on the lower deck, with a generous full-beam mess for communal living. The captain and chief engineer's cabins are situated on the bridge deck, upholding the hierarchy of crew accommodations. These spaces are accessible via dedicated staircases that run from the tank deck up to the bridge deck.

Performance & Capabilities

At the heart of this magnificent yacht lie twin Caterpillar 3512C engines, which are a marvel of modern engineering. These robust powerplants orchestrate Saramour's graceful movements across the water, allowing her to achieve a top speed of 15 knots with an effortless grace that belies her generous size.

The meticulous choice of engines ensures that Saramour not only glides swiftly through the sea but also maintains excellent efficiency. At a cruising speed of 14 knots, the yacht boasts an impressive range of 3,000 nautical miles, providing her occupants with the freedom to explore the world's oceans without the frequent need to refuel. This formidable range, paired with her remarkable speed, makes Saramour an ideal vessel for long voyages, whether it's a transatlantic adventure or an extensive tour of the Mediterranean's enchanting coasts.

CRN has gone to great lengths to ensure that Saramour's voyages are as smooth as they are swift. The yacht's stability systems are a key feature that contributes to her excellent seakeeping abilities. While specific details about stabilizers are not provided, it is common for yachts of Saramour's caliber to be equipped with state-of-the-art stabilizing technology that minimizes roll and enhances comfort for all on board, whether at anchor or while cruising.

The engineering prowess of CRN is also evident in the clever design solutions that cater to the owner's requirements. A notable example is the innovative approach to the removable radar arch, which showcases CRN's commitment to functional design without resorting to unnecessary complications. By allowing for the radar arch to be easily detached, Saramour's owner can access private covered docks with ease, ensuring that the yacht's dimensions never limit the freedom to explore even the most exclusive marinas and docking spaces.

Saramour is not just a symbol of luxury and elegance; she is a testament to the harmony between performance, efficiency, and innovation.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Rest and relaxation can be achieved on board, thanks to a luxury spa. In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible. Saramour also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
