Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 10m beam and a 2.6m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 865 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a touch and go heli-pad.

Construction started in mid 2009. This was the third yacht built on the Silver Series design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in March 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2012.

Exterior Design

Smeralda's golden hull and white superstructure enhance its slender appearance while adding a touch of contemporary elegance. The exterior design combines refined lines and gentle curves, with windows forming a rhythmic pattern that adds character to the vessel.

The aft deck features a lounging area designed for relaxation, with U-shaped sofas, large aft sun pads, and a fully equipped bar. Bimini shades provide the option of enjoying this space in either sun or shade. The adjacent dining area, with wraparound sliding glass, can be transformed into a light and air-conditioned indoor space or an open al fresco dining area, both offering panoramic views.

On the upper deck, the owner's apartment features a large stateroom with all-around windows for expansive views. The apartment includes an office area, walk-in wardrobes, and his and her bathrooms designed with luxury materials. The owner's lounge offers an intimate space for entertaining, with a design similar to the main saloon but with added touches of color.

The extensive sun deck includes a glass-fronted Jacuzzi, sun pads, a fully equipped bar, and a 10-seat dining table. The sun deck also features an outdoor cinema and nightclub sound systems, making it suitable for entertainment from morning to night.

Interior Design

The main saloon is a refined space characterized by its lounge-like atmosphere and Italian-inspired design. High gloss lacquered American walnut wall paneling and cream-colored carpeting set the tone for a warm, inviting environment. The room is divided into an intimate library area aft and a spacious lounge fore, separated by sliding doors. The library features a modern beige leather sofa, large ottomans, integrated bookshelves, and a flatscreen plasma television. The main lounge area includes U-shaped leather sofas and glass-topped tables, with natural light streaming through large picture windows.

The dining area on the main deck features elegant wraparound sliding glass, transforming the space into a light, air-conditioned dining area when closed, or an al fresco dining area when opened. The dining area seamlessly integrates with the aft deck lounge, providing lush panoramic views.

The beach club at sea level offers a spacious setting for relaxation and social gatherings. Interiors are primarily teak and white, with facilities including a massage room, hairdressing and beauty salon, an 8-person sauna, and a gymnasium. The adjacent grand swimming platform serves as a private outdoor lounging space.

Accommodation

Smeralda provides accommodation for up to 22 guests, including the owner, across a range of well-appointed staterooms. The yacht features three large VIP staterooms and six twin cabins, two of which include an additional pullman berth. These cabins are spread across the main fore and lower decks.

Each guest stateroom is designed with a contemporary aesthetic, incorporating high-quality American walnut paneling and a balanced color palette. All cabins come with luxurious ensuite bathrooms, featuring separate shower areas and a playful use of small square tiles that add texture and a touch of glamour to the space.

The upper deck houses the owner's apartment, which redefines the concept of a master suite. This expansive area includes a large stateroom with 180-degree views, turning it into a private observation lounge. The stateroom is designed with elegant, streamlined interiors, featuring lacquered walnut wall panels and rich cream-colored carpeting. The slightly raised bed ensures optimal enjoyment of the surrounding vistas.

The owner's apartment also includes a port-side corridor that transitions from a private office area into spacious walk-in wardrobes, and finally to two sumptuous bathrooms. His bathroom is designed as a private mini-spa with a monsoon shower, while her bathroom features high-gloss walnut, teak flooring, and a large bath, offering a luxurious environment for daily rituals.

Aft of the owner's stateroom, the owner's lounge provides an intimate setting for entertaining and relaxation. This area is designed in a style similar to the main saloon but with a slightly more informal touch, featuring added colors in the upholstery and art. The lounge includes a cream-colored sofa, modern armchairs, and an oval-shaped coffee table, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
