Antalya joins top global players as revenue reaches $1.2 bllion

The province of Antalya has officially surpassed a revenue of $1.2 billion, making it one of the top global players in the yacht building industry.

Joining the likes of Italy and the Netherlands, Antalya's ever growing list of yachts for sale has continued to promote the destination not only for it's wealth of history, but most importantly for it's capability and capacity for the yachting industry.

Acting as a free zone, the representatives claim the facilities are 'well ahead' of the nearby yacht building amenities in Turkish shipyards.

Officials report that the total LOA of yachts built within the free zone now amount 8,640 metres.

Since 2000, we’ve been in this business. Now there are 50 companies here. We have built and delivered around 460 ultra-luxury yachts until now.

Estel Marine North Star underway, passing by historical buildings

The largest superyacht for sale built at the Antalya free zone to date was the Estel Marine 63m (207') 'North Star', which was launched in 2019 and sold to a British client.

However, a larger superyacht standing at 70 metres is currently in build at the facility and is currently scheduled for launch in December 2021.

Also acting as a maintenance and repair centre, Antalya has seen around 112 yachts for repairs which has reportedly brought in $34.1 million to the free zone.
