As the yachting industry adapts to the changing nature of the world in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, Azimut Yachts has introduced its A-Room platform, a virtual showroom dedicated to giving visitors an exclusive and totally interactive preview of its new models.
Visitors who connect to the A-Room will be taken to a 3D virtual space that replicates the look and feel of an Azimut Yachts stand. The space is split into themed areas, including an area for presentations, corners dedicated to individual collections and screens playing videos of the latest models. Visitors can move around and interact in a similar way to be at an actual yacht show.
Azimut has said the initiative is “driven by the desire to further open up to digital technology” but stressed it will be used alongside traditional communication methods.
Visitors will also be offered live-streamed events for new yacht launches. The A-Room will be unveiled later this month when the Azimut 53 Flybridge will be the first model to grace the new digital platform.
Azimut was also the first of a number of shipyards to open up to customers online during the Coronavirus pandemic by holding virtual boat shows to showcase the wide range of Azimut Yachts for sale.
It launched its Virtual Lounge last May offering virtual tours, technical information and educational videos. In the same month, it held a three-day virtual boat show that resulted in the first online sale in the Shipyard’s history, an Azimut A6.
Nearly all major boat shows have been canceled over the past year as a result of COVID19. However, the Palm Beach International Boat Show is still scheduled to take place at the end of this month.
If you are considering buying a yacht and would like to browse the market from the comfort of your own home, you can view all new and pre-owned yachts for sale.
