Palumbo Group brand Columbus Yachts have made announcements of a brand new 120 metre concept.Following on from the prestigious launch of the 80 metre DRAGON vessel in March 2019, the shipyard are unveiling a project which makes a nod towards traditional ocean liners.
Boasting striking crisp lines, the Columbus Classic 120m is designed to benefit from a wide expanse of full length floor to ceiling windows and a spacious environment for ultimate guest comfort.
A key aspect of the design behind the new giga yacht is to allow guests immediate access to the sea, enhancing their experience of long distance cruising. An impressive garage forward of the aft beachclub can house two 12m tenders, a RIB, plus a selection of watertoys like jet skis and sea-bobs. The garage offers further instant access to the sea for guests by doubling up as a diving room with all the necessary up to date equipment and gear.
For guests wanting to enjoy the water while remaining onboard, a staggering double stack of swimming pools are combined with a stunning waterfall to create a unique and relaxing environment. Paired up with roomy sunbathing areas and bathing platforms there are plenty of opportunities to make the most of the indulging exteriors.
The beach club offers sheltered seating as a break from the warm heat. Comfortable furniture and a dedicated kitchen complete the scene with al fresco living continuing on the main deck with a fully kitted out wetbar and al fresco dining options.
Interiors for the Columbus Classic 120m match the high level of standard of the exteriors. Open spaces make for great socialising opportunities with a roomy lounge area on the main deck with a formal dining set up and other ample seating areas throughout the vessel. Guests can further indulge themselves on the giga vessel with a premium gym and spa facility.
Accommodation is another key feature for the Columbus Classic 120m as it holds a capacity for up to 22 guests in a collection of 10 cabins. An arrangement on the fore of the main deck will provide a comfortable and relaxing environment for guests to rest overnight with owners having their own oasis on the deck above.
The exclusive owner's apartment has everything an owner needs for their own area of tranquility. A private outdoor lounge area and Jacuzzi leads in to a spacious bedroom area in addition to a beauty room, massage room and an office.
The Columbus Classic 120m will have a top speed of 20 knots, with a cruising mode giving an outstanding range of 7,000 nautical miles at 16 knots.
