The star attraction of the show by a long shot, the debut of the highly-anticipated Superyacht Village certainly lived up to its high expectations.
As an exclusive zone dedicated to showcasing some of the most luxuriously indulgent super and megayachts, the new attraction was a breath of fresh air and was no doubt partly the reason behind a substantial 50% increase in VIP bookings for FLIBS 2019.
Situated at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina’s new Pier South property, the exclusive combined marina and on land exhibition space held exhibits from 17 globally known shipyards, as well as showcasing premium fast cars from Ferrari, Maserati andAlfa Romeo, plus Airbus helicopters and personal submarines.
Aside from the additional features, the big draw was of course the collection of eight motoryachts on the water. A major appearance was the world debut of German shipyard Lürssen’s 311ft/94.79m MADSUMMER. Marking the largest megayacht to be displayed at FLIBS on record.
Other vessels displayed within the Superyacht Village included the 180ft/54.86m Heesen Yachts vessel VIDA.
