Preparing to celebrate their magnanimous 60th anniversary, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show has announced the development of the all new Superyacht Village at Pier 66. As a combined dedicated marina and exhibition space, the extension of America's most highly anticipated boat show of the year has now upgraded the event to cover more than three million square feet.

The collaborative organisers behind the new extension Informa U.S. Boat Shows, Tavistock Development Company and the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF), have shared that the Superyacht Village will host the most spectacular vessels on the market and will be housed at the new Pier South property of the Pier 66 Hotel.

Covering 3.5 acres, the new Superyacht Village will be one of the only locations at FLIBS capable of displaying vessels at 400 feet. In addition to some truly remarkable superyachts, the village will also host helicopters, personal submarines and a luxury shopping area relating to the nautical industry. Admission to the Superyacht Village is open to all ticket holders to the show with water tender services available.

The growing number of large yachts exhibiting at the show continues to attract affluent buyers and superyacht charter clients. Thanks to a large investment by Informa and Tavistock, we are able to create a new, unique destination for the superyacht community within this extraordinary boat show directly across from Port Everglades. We are excited to expand our partnership with Pier Sixty-Six as they embark on an exciting future to revitalize the iconic waterfront venue that has been part of the boat show history since its inception.

Expecting around 110,000 visitors throughout the duration of the 2019 edition, the newly added developments continue to excite the crowds since they were revealed during the 2018 show. Following a redevelopment of the main entrance and the general look of the show last year, the new Superyacht Village gives guests even more to look forward to.

In addition to the brand new superyacht zone, the 60th anniversary celebrations also see some special surprise experiences and exclusive events such as award ceremonies, seminars, superyacht interactive experiences, premium jewellery stands, exclusive concerts and indulgent wine and champagne tastings.

The 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show takes place from the 30th October until the 3rd of November.
