122m Superyacht Kismet Triumphs at Design & Innovation Awards 2025

Designed by Nuvolari Lenard and built by the renowned Lürssen shipyard, Kismet claimed the award for Outstanding Exterior Design in the 70m and above category. The judging panel praised the yacht’s "bold lines, harmonious proportions, and fluid forms," with one judge declaring, “This is in a category all by itself.”

A standout feature of Kismet is its striking mast, which was inspired by classic ocean liners and adds to the vessel’s distinctive silhouette. The yacht’s long, elegant bow hosts a multi-functional helipad that can double as a basketball or pickleball court. These bold design elements contribute to Kismet ’s unique and commanding presence on the water.

In addition to its exceptional exterior, Kismet was also recognized for its opulent onboard lifestyle, taking home the award for Outstanding Lifestyle Feature. The yacht’s expansive spa and wellness area left a lasting impression on the judges, who were captivated by its sheer scale and luxurious amenities.

“There are spas, and then there’s the spa on Kismet ,” remarked one judge. The wellness area boasts a chromotherapy bathtub, cryogenic chamber, ice and snow fountains, a hammam, sauna, plunge pool, and private treatment rooms. Beyond functionality, the spa features stunning design details, including a steam firepit in the relaxation lounge and an intricately embroidered wallpaper in the hairdressing salon. A dedicated yoga space, complete with a custom Buddha-like statue, rounds out the ultimate onboard sanctuary.

Kismet ’s latest accolades add to an already impressive trophy cabinet. The yacht was also named Yacht of the Year at the 2024 World Yachts Trophies in Cannes, reinforcing its dominance in the superyacht industry.

Beyond its awards, Kismet is ranked 50th in the YachtBuyer Y100 league table of the world’s biggest yachts by gross tonnage. With an interior designed by Reymond Langton Design, the yacht offers lavish accommodations for up to 12 guests across nine cabins, attended by a crew of 36. Features such as multiple swimming pools, a theater, a dance floor, and four fireplaces further cement Kismet ’s status as one of the most luxurious vessels afloat.

The 122m Kismet is the latest in a series of exceptional yachts commissioned by billionaire businessman Shahid Khan, who also owns the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham Football Club. Over the years, Khan has owned several notable superyachts, including earlier versions of Kismet, now known as Whisper (95m) and Atlas (74m), both built by Lürssen.
