Fourth unit of Benetti’s flagship Diamond 145 sold

The Italian shipyard has sold a fourth unit and delivered a second of its Diamond 145 series.

Benetti has announced the sale of the fourth hull of its Diamond 145 series motor yacht BP004 and revealed the delivery of the second hull took place in December 2020.

The 44m (144ft) motor yacht is the flagship of its Class line, a range of displacement speed, semi-custom superyachts marked by a tri-deck layout and a long cruising range.

The fourth hull will feature a six-cabin layout and be able to accommodate 12 guests. Previous units have featured five cabins. Delivery is scheduled for summer 2022.

The second hull, motor yacht DONNA SANTA II features the sleek exterior lines and generous volumes that have made the model so popular. A total exterior living area of over 350 square meters includes an extremely spacious sun deck and a foredeck with Jacuzzi and large sunpad area.

Inside, her main salon benefits from an open plan layout and masses of light thanks to large open plan windows. She accommodates 10 guests across five cabins and features interior design from Salvagni Architetti.

Benetti first previewed the Diamond 145 at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2018. The first hull, INK, was sold shortly afterwards and delivered to her owner in January 2020. With exterior design by Giorgio M. Cassetta, the Benetti Diamond 145 picked up a World Yachts Trophy in 2020 in the Most Innovative Yacht category.

Benetti is the oldest Italian shipyard specializing in luxury yachts, being founded in 1873. They are also responsible for transforming the superyacht industry, being the first shipyard to offer Owners a luxury semi-custom superyacht.

It made its name in 1970s, when its iconic superyachts adorn the screen with regularity, most notably its iconic yacht Nabila, which was seen as Disco Volante in the Jame Bond film Never Say Never Again.

Benetti's esteemed position in the superyacht industry is shown by the fact they have delivered 242 yachts since 2000, with another 18 set to be delivered in 2021 alone. Building ever-larger yachts, it has delivered three 100m (328ft) yachts in the past two years, with plans to go bigger still.
