Grand Banks yachts have announced further details of their latest addition to the fleet, the Grand Banks 54.

A consistent performer who produces the same results when running at 10 or 20 knots, the GB54 wastes little energy pushing waves out of the way and instead uses that power to push through at a constant speed.

Previously scheduled to make her debut at the postponed Palm Beach International Boat Show, the standard engine package for the upcoming GB54 will be two 725-horsepower Volvo Penta D11s. Preliminary statistics indicate she will be able to cruise around 1,000 nautical miles at 10 knots and will boast top speeds of up to 32 knots.

“The 54 will combine weight reduction, strength, and a low vertical center of gravity, just as we did on the 60and 60 Skylounge. We emphasize cruising efficiency both in our hull design and matching it with propulsion. Of course, efficiency is worthless without comfort, so we madesure the Grand Banks 54 will offer surefootedness in a wide range of sea states, and an interior worthy ofextended time aboard."

Comparatively in the three cabin layout, the master cabin is located in the bow with its own private head with two double cabins which share use of the second head that still acts as the day head.
