Maritimo Provides Yacht Development Updates for M50 Flybridge and S50 Sedan

The redesigned M50 Flybridge and S50 Sedan yachts from Maritimo incorporate owner feedback, providing larger staterooms, improved deck access, and long-range performance.

Australian yacht builder Maritimo has provided design and development updates for its upcoming M50 Flybridge and S50 Sedan motor yachts, following feedback from owners and the builder’s R&D team.

Drawing inspiration from the Maritimo M75 and recent Black Editions of the Maritimo M55 and Maritimo M60, the new yacht models boast numerous enhancements.

Key updates include a reimagined accommodation area with a master stateroom and an enlarged VIP stateroom. Both staterooms now feature increased storage and more spacious bathrooms. The overall motor yacht design focuses on reducing step height, maintaining a single deck level from the upper cockpit through to the galley, and maximizing headroom throughout.

The yachts for sale will also be equipped with an integrated hydraulic lifting and hinging swim platform to minimize overhang and maintain a 15m berth length. Improved access to side decks and the option for side boarding gates will also enhance usability.

Neil McCabe, Maritimo Design Office Manager, and Senior Designer Julian Villegas highlighted the distinguishing features of these new motor yacht models —  the two-stateroom format allowing for more space and light, with large through-hull windows in the master stateroom and a luxurious bathroom in the VIP stateroom.

By listening to feedback from yacht owners, the revised design will now meet the needs of primary occupants while offering flexible space for guests. The new yachts also feature a reverse chine for lift and stability, a softened ride, and a flat keel for smoother re-entry into the water.

On the main deck, features include various swim platform options and an accessible engine room. The galley offers ample workspace and storage, while the lazarette is easily accessible.

The weekending yacht models are powered by twin 800hp engines, allowing for a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 30 knots. Supported by a 3,700-liter fuel tank, the yachts are built for long-range cruising.

The M50 Enclosed Flybridge Motor Yacht version includes a spacious bridge with advanced electronics and ample storage. The bridge hardtop features skylights and hatches for light and ventilation.
