Two big names in the world of yachting and powerboating are bringing their vast expanse of expertise together to create a new brand in the superyacht tender world.
British-based Falcon Tenders is led by Mark Pascoe, co-founder of tender manufacturer Pascoe International, and he is joined by Dean Stoneman, a former P1 Powerboat Champion. The team is based out of a purpose-built 2,300 square meter facility in Southampton and has already begun work on its first model.
“I am passionate about building tenders. I believe there is room in this exciting sector to be able to design and produce something quite special to integrate with any superyacht,” comments Pascoe. “I have hand-picked an impressive line-up of highly dedicated and skilled craftsmen, many of whom I have known and worked with for a number of years.
“I think we have a uniqueness and can offer all the benefits of dealing with a large production operation, but with the individuality, passion and skill that can only exist in a smaller, family-style operation. This allows a higher quality of workmanship, level of customer service and bespoke design. Our aim is to produce the finest, best-equipped, most innovative and reliable tenders on the market.”
Falcon Tenders first project is a limousine tender styled by Michael Leach Design and set to make its world debut at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show, a prospect that Dean Stoneman is excited about:
“We are really looking to take our first tender to the next level in terms of design, materials and propulsion,” he comments. “We are working with some superb partners and we are confident that what will emerge later in the year will impress the market.”
Pascoe International was founded in 2005 and has delivered more than 200 custom tenders to date. Falcon Tenders takes its name from the very first two of these custom tenders, delivered in 2005 for the multi-award-winning sailing yacht 'Maltese Falcon'. Dean Stoneman adds to Pascoe's business acumen, as not only was he a powerboat champion he has also been instrumental in the production of several XSMG Marine powerboats for European owners.
